I’m trying to learn them switch. Left foot on right peg. I have normal ones dialed. I eventually want to learn snake spins. Any pointers for the switch peg manual? It feels super awkward

I felt like the Shoji won. Bike flips are absolutely amazing but ONLY doing back wheel tricks should come with a minor penalty. Shoji's second combo with the front and back wheel transition actually made my heart skip a beat. I can't say the same about Yu's combos. Don't get me wrong. Both are amazing! I just wanted to see Shoji win that. Your average online critic signing off ✌

I don't know how about you guys but I have this feeling that for a long time flat is dominated by the "spinners". A lots of flatlanders from the top shelf also, spinning around and their technique of the ride is mostly based directly on it. Someone will say - of course spinning is an integral part of flatland and its basics attached with balance and dynamic. True, but same particular balance and dynamic is attached with moving in every possible direction without or less part of that hard kind of spinning. Because of that less spinning movement in every possible direction with both wheels attached to the flat ground I will suggest - beyond voteing - people like Dane Beardsley, James White and absent in the video George Manos. George Manos additionaly for brakeless ride and without pegs.

This video was only meant as some help towards voting, it wasn’t saying these are the absolute best by any means. It’s impossible to post everything, in the contest scene it seems spinning but less so if you pay attention to video parts. There’s still room for so much more.
@matija-jurkijevic5 ай бұрын
@@flatmatters Yes I understand the objective of this video. And my comment is by any means a charge towards you but my observation of the scene in general for a long time. I do appreciate you work and agree there’s still room for so much more.

@@matija-jurkijevic the problem is most competition floors are small so all the amazing riders who ride straight (Beardsley, Sebastian Grubinger, Pete Olsen, etc.. ) can't compete, we need bigger stages so that we can bring back the straight line killers which CAN win competitions and make flat more exciting to watch

Huge shout out to the riders ( Bohn, White, Beardsley) that weren't just spinning around like a tornado. It would be nice to see more fluid creative lines/tricks like this but as I always say "if you ain't spinning you ain't winning". Also congrats to Jumelin for milking that one line/trick combo work for 20 years and making a living at it.

Brings back memories of packed out gymnasiums with KRS1 pumping out well into the evening. 20 odd years later and James still manages to mix some of the hardest, flowing combos and tricks that just make you laugh. What a lad.

Yo E, I reckon it would make sense to put the runs in reverse order with the clip of 1st place last in the video, as that would mean the viewer feels the quality improves as the video progresses [I know there's a lot of subjectivity involved in the perception of what is being viewed but I'm sure you get my point] Props to the three riders, respect for the footage, peace 👊🏼
