For 1 he should have not pressed him and he should have just ran with him and 2 when DK Metcalf looked back for the ball he should have been looking too and trailing the ball he would have picked it off plain and simple
@YoungStew0617 сағат бұрын
1. Poor inch... never kept his cushion from press alignment. When DK moved forward, the db's feet should have been inching back. 2. Poor eyes... eyes need to be on the hips, not the shoulders. 3. Poor hand placement... you can't punch with the inside arm and still get beat inside. 4. Poor trail technique... You can't look for the ball without closing back to the hip first.

Should he have played a catch technique?... Maybe inching up, and getting a bit more physical with the wide out, as opposed to opening the gate?
@PankPandahКүн бұрын
Him playing close enough to get physical may have thrown off the defensive levels. It looks like that backer could’ve chipped Ridley to disrupt the timing of the route though.

First and foremost thanks for all your content I have been watching these and studying with my son he’s 10 playing Pop Warner third year now and plays flag year round I wanted to drop a question that I can’t seem to get an answer on due to varying opinions from his coaches When he’s guarding the receiver and he already opened his hips and he’s following the receiver when the ball is in the air and the receiver is going for the catch Is it better to turn around and look to get the pick or just put his hands up in hopes to block the ball by deflection Some coaches he works with say don’t turn your head around just put hands up to cause deflection Some coaches want him to turn his head around at the same time he’s running with receiver right when the receiver is about to make the catch this way he has a better chance to see the ball and get an interception In your professional experience what is the best method when the pass is about to be made by the receiver should dbacks turn their head slightly and try to intercept or focus more on keeping head straight eyes on hips and trying to deflect with hands up

Ive been at corner my first couple of years, switched to safety in an on field decision. Due to solid film and playbook study i had an enlightment at safety, and the opposing qb felt it cause ive broke up 3 passes that game, and he did not throw anything my way. Im learning to love the physicality of the game. So i belive im in a good direction

So your example of how to steal ints in cover 4--- is to show a cover 4 getting beat for 50 yards?
@GridironStuds5 күн бұрын
You didn't watch the video. You skipped through the talk because you were either a) not that interested in the subject or b) lack the attention span to watch something for 7:23. What baffles me in this situation is that despite that, you decided to comment. Human beings really are amazing. Now watch this, you are going to have the audacity to make some reply that will be less intelligent than the first one you made because I have bruised your ego. You also think there are a bunch of people who will care about how you look, a person they don't know. This phenomenon repeats itself millions of times daily on social media and demonstrates why most people are mediocre. Like Nick Saban said, it's human nature for people to want to be average. The thing is, you don't have to be. Change your life.
@carltonbanks54703 күн бұрын
@@GridironStuds I watched the entire 7:23. I watched the entire 7:23 again. That's 14:46 of my life you owe me back. Again, you TALK about how to steal ints in cover 4 by SHOWING it get beat for 50 yards. That's simply what you did. You can respond with another 300 word essay if you want. Doesn't change the fact that this is a poorly done video. Your entire 300 word diatribe was really a projection of yourself. I'd use stronger words to describe you, but youtube looks out for its resident snowflakes. Congrats.

Saban didn’t win half the national championships Alabama has. There is also a pre Saban era and it was pretty incredible also. 8-4 has been a disastrous season for Alabama my entire life. Most teams that’s a solid season.
@GridironStuds5 күн бұрын
Right on all of that but what you are missing is that we now live in the social media era where the common fan has a voice and collectively can cause mayhem. In many cases they can drive the opinion and content of traditional media which can, in turn, put pressure on administrations who act on that pressure (see University of Florida post Urban Meyer, USC post Pete Carroll). 8-4 is going to be a blood bath. The opinions don't just stay at the lunch counter or barber's chair anymore like in the 60's and 70's.

Marco Wilson is proof you can be super athletic and have good technique but it don't mean $hi+ if you don't study film, learn how to play in different defenses, Study your opponents, study what you did wrong on film and build on that consistently 2-3 hours a day while also training its pointless.. Unless you want to be the guy people use as an example of having all the athletism but not developing the IQ and discipline to be good and have a career. Keep teaching techniques.. They do nothing if you don't know WTF your doing on the field. Kids if you want a career as a pro athlete get used to studying film, knowing the "X's and O's", studying your competition, being consistent and disciplined! Otherwise you can have all the athletism in the world and good technique and won't mean $h!+.. If you don't spend 2-3 hours a day studying film you will end up a bust and not amounting to $h!+...

Marco Wilson is in his 4th season in the NFL. He was drafted to play in this professional league. He has started over 30 games at this highest level in the sport. He played division I football at a major school. I’m not sure what this guy is talking about but he’s doing it on the internet unsolicited on a post made about a high school kid trying reach his goals in life. This is not what anyone should aspire to be.
