thanks for the product recommendation and instructions. just did it thanks to you. the strut you linked does have a little metal ring on the top tab you have to remove during installation - struggled a bit because it wouldnt connect until i did that

Don't replace the caliper just because the piston won't go in. More often than not it's the brake hose that's causing the caliper to seize. If you put a new caliper in with a bad brake hose, the new caliper will be "seized" instantly after pumping the brakes
