I appreciate your video highlighting the ignorance and stupidity of senator Kennedy, but I do think your enlightened centrist view is unhelpful. We absolutely do not “need both sides”. That perspective is severely lacking nuance. We don’t need anyone to promote hate against others because of their gender, sexual orientation, skin color, religion, or country of origin. That is something the right (conservatives) wants to perpetuate and promote

To be honest I disagree that the entire 'right' promotes hate of the groups you speak of. I think a loud minority does but not all. The idea that lacks nuance is the idea that YOU'RE right no matter what. That the group you are a part of is and will always be correct. That is a tribal mindset that only divides rather than helping, in my opinion.

@@Audible484let me be more clear. I don’t automatically think conservatives are individually bad people. You can have a conservative view about the economy and many other issues but conservative narratives from politicians are often very racist and islamaphobic. I don’t need any religion myself, the Christian Nationalist movement is pretty obviously racist. That is not an indictment of every conservative. We need nation wide ranked choice voting. Let’s escape this duopoly.

Its the easiest thing in the world to be negative. It takes no effort whatsoever. Its like a default mode we can all sink to. Just letting life drag you along. Taking control of your life and making something positive happen takes focus and effort. That negative voice in your head will fight you all the way but its worth it for you and the people around you.

I do feel the same way, but I like self sabotage. As weird as that sounds I love to push my life to the edge. I have fast cars. I love drinking and driving, I love to be intoxicated and driving with my music screaming and I fear facing reality when I'm on a comedown from my buzz and high.

I think it's natural to feel sad every once in a while. Even if it's for no good reason and your life is in a good or better place than it's ever been, or that you're used to. What I would be a bit more worried about is if someone I cared about started to become giddy and happy when they are supposed to be scared and worried 😂

Because she wanted to make the point that she was there to talk about hate crimes, and he was accusing her of supporting terrorists because she's of Arab descent. The entire point of the meeting was to work on crimes against people based on race, religion, etc, etc and he literally starts it off by being racist and assuming she's supports terrorism because of her ethnicity. He won't shut up and let her answer.
