Ps: senator Edward Otlet was Responsible for Tramway 🚡 in Belgium however There is "NO" Station named after: Nikola, Frank & Edward. Shameless ignorance 😡.

I suspect high-speed trains use their horns a lot less than American freight locomotives. For the longest time, I thought high-speed trains never had horns fitted.

This sounds great! Any suggestions on makers? I'm interested in getting a decent one, but there aren't a lot of makers. Thought I had a lead on a guy in VT, but I guess he just makes bagpipes now.

Un Sprague Thomson sur la ligne 6, cela fait presque 50 ans qu'il n'y en a plus circulé et avec en plus des MP 73 en livrée bleue d'origine, c'est un vrai trésor historique.

Nearly all SNCF trains have the same two tone horn I believe regardless if it is a high speed or non high speed train/locomotive.

Most definitely not in its element. I rode in those extensively, while in France1964-67. My favourite model, as a long time juice fan (because it’s ancient). I also rode in the newer ones then; but with lesser feeling. Glad to see that this was saved. No problem in the métro, I speak French as first language. One of the métro stations has 8 levels.
