We had a ringer fall out just before we had to perform this, so our director stepped in and played her spot. Without a director, we ended up playing at approximately this tempo - we still refer to that incident as “Spirit Tornado.”

Every night in my dreams I see you, I feel you, That is how I know you go on Far across the distance And spaces between us You have come to show you go on Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you're here in my heart And my heart will go on and on Love can touch us one time And last for a lifetime And never let go 'til we're gone Love was when I loved you One true time I hold to In my life we'll always go on Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you're here in my heart And my heart will go on and on You're here, there's nothing I fear, And I know that my heart will go on We'll stay forever this way You are safe in my heart And my heart will go on and on

Very nice work. I've rang a few lower octave bells and it looks like that's quite the work-out.

Now do tubular bells
@seredin899 жыл бұрын
Do you mean upright chimes like in a symphony? That would probably be a bit easier since all you have to move are two little hammers, versus 5x 15+ pound bells that all occupy a lot of space. Plus you could do it with one person :D
@shiningarmor28389 жыл бұрын
No, the song by Mike Oldfield! (Played on non-tubular bells)

To be fair, it's not just handbells. The intro and every time that sound is heard again is the sound of choir chimes!

@rockymt2397 We generally ring it at a more brisk pace in concert. It's SO frustrating trying to record in the studio, as every little error causes a re-do, ha

One of my all time bell favorites. I would have liked a bit more legato ringing in the slow section, but the tempi were great as well as ringing that development section. I guess some things are heard better live. Keep up the good work Golden Bells of Atlanta.

@nocturneno2 we rang under kevin, and he loved it. my wrist can handle it, from plenty of years drumming. this was the one and only take of this song after a 3 hour night ringing the other videos and inventing the 2 man weave: i was tired :) as far as marting, i did it quite gently, i assure you.
