I love how many people here are using this for a D&D boss fight of some kind. My players are going to encounter a coven of witches, one of which cursed our Bard to sing every word he says, and I'm thinking there will be a carnival-like illusion to really set the theme.

Hollow knight is weird. You meet a guy who's part of a circus, he gives you his child which he wants fed by fire, then absorbs his child into himself and tries to murder you.

This is my third favorite boss music, close to Hive Knight (#2) and the number 1, Mantis Lords/Battle Sisters.

tiiiiime for some easter eggs you may or kay not have heard about: first off the grimm troupe is basically a dance group that supports the heart of satan so obviously grimms fight is a dance. but whenever grimm goes into his pufferfish or recovers from a stagger the crowed behind himm will actually clap for himm another fun touch is that when grimm recovers from a stagger there will also be a little drumroll. man i just love the amount of detail put into this game it’s just amazing
