So these are my friends. They may have looked like they were just casually strolling along, but appearances can be deceiving when one doesn't have all the info. They were on a ship sponsored tour that came back really late. The other runners were on that same tour. There was a tram that picked them all up at the ship and took them to the tour vehicle, but there was no tram available back to the ship at the end of the tour, so everyone had to hoof it. One of the last two guys has a health condition and COULDN'T run. His travelling buddy wouldn't leave him, of course. The other runners were supposed to explain all that when they got onboard, but clearly the crew wasn't interested. It will be interesting to see what the cruise line does about the expenses they've incurred, considering that it was a sponsored activity that brought everyone back much too late, without the promised transfer tram when speed really counted, and without communicating to the ship's crew what was happening.

Hey, this is Mike, I was one of those guys that came last. That was from a late excursion. A virgin organized excursion. All the people that you see running are from that same excursion, I personally have a heart problem and wasn’t able to run to get on that ship. We have pictures taken from the viewpoint at the top of the mountain while still on this excursion that the timestamp is 3:36, and after that the tour still had to get us back to the port, well after the all aboard at 3:30. When we left the ship, there was a trolley that took us to the end of the pier, coming back there was not. I was not able to run because of a heart condition. The captain was notified that there were two coming, and this is how it ended up. They knew that our passports and my heart medication and everything else were in our cabins and in our safe, and they couldn’t wait that short time. And they still left. We are in Saint Kitts now trying to get our passports FedEx’d to us from Puerto Rico. Virgin has not done one thing to try to help. I have been on over 70+ cruises, and never been even remotely late to get back on a ship. And so badly treated by a cruise line. But I promise you this isn’t the end of it! Still trying to get back to Puerto Rico to see if all our stuff, jewelry, cash everything that was in the safe is intact.

Wow!!! Thank you for commenting! They still left and it was a virgin excursion!!?? Both of you were right there at the front of the ship when I looked down and the rope was gone. Wow. I’m shocked they left!!!

Also. Let us know how this plays out and what and if Virgin does anything. I am really curious now. We were almost late in St.Lucia due to traffic and also on a Virgin paid excursion

Yes, sir, it was a virgin excursion that did not leave, or was not scheduled to leave till 1 PM. We had to wait on two other people and it actually left at 1:15. I just figured they knew what they were doing. I don’t think they even knew we weren’t on the ship. I think they were so disorganized. The runners in front of us were also telling them that we weren’t able to run and we were on our way, and the port agent supposedly told them from the walkie-talkie that there were two more coming. At this point Virgin will not even return a phone call, all our stuff is packed up in Puerto Rico somewhere at the port. Just heard our passports won’t be here in St. Kitts until Wednesday Around 6 PM which means we can’t even get off this island till Thursday. Virgin has done absolutely nothing. At this point it’s just beyond frustrating that they won’t even bother to return phone calls to try and help direct us. At the point when we sit down, they knew that our passports and our heart medication was still on the ship. They said they would send it back with a port pilot and the port agent on land had to remind them that they didn’t have a port pilot!! Really?? This has been so unreal.

What did it take to get approval for the drone flight. Always run out of issues here in LA with drone flights
