Hey my Pleasure @mikewitters. I know a lot of people when they first start out like I did go through these kind of questions. I was fortunate enough to have both motors at the time to compare. Glad it’s become useful for others. Thank you for your time on viewing this video. I wish you good luck and fortune on your fishing journeys. Regards.

Nice video 👍 There's a hack for those scuppers that works well. A medium self draining scupper from I believe Old Town fits inside the Titan scuppers. Drill a hole in the Titan scuppers, stick the self draining inside of it. There's a few videos around that go into more detail.

I had the same issue with water come in using the NK180. A thicker gasket will help keep the water out.

Thanks man I figure that would be the best solution. I’m adding a thicker gasket on that soon. Thanks for checking out the video.

Good stuff my man! Great to see you back at it. Think I will get that 300 once I kill my 180 pro. Then it’s on - Hobie v. Native lol!
@Austin_TorresАй бұрын
That’s awesome Keith I know the 180pro is another great option for the motors. Your hobie with a NK300 will get above 6mph due to the better hull shape. You’ll leave me pretty quick. Thanks for your comment see you soon again back out on The water.

Hey man, I’m super happy to hear that that works out for you. Enjoy the new set up.. I’ve been seeing motor guides get all glitchy and act up and quite honestly for as long as I’ve had the minn kotta it still works flawlessly. I hope you put a video showing action on your boat or Kayak whatever you have. Thank you for the support and have a great week and good luck on your fishing trip.

What trolling motor is that?
@Austin_Torres2 ай бұрын
That’s sir is my Frankenstein lol. So it’s a Minn Kota 12v 55lbs thrust that did not have Spotlock on it. So i basically order some parts to convert it over to gps version with spotlock lock. They didn’t have the original black cap on it at the time due to low production and COVID-19 era. But they had plenty of the whitecap ones so I ordered that one. And all honesty sometimes when I’m out there fishing really bad trolling motor skunk stripe just as a reminder that every day is gonna be a good fishing day.

I’m more inspired by your reaction to each catch who you were giving thanks to every catch and just straight up enjoying life. I love your attitude and the way you reacted when receiving that call about your fish catches. I just watch another angler in a tournament and he didn’t get a call like that till three days after the tournament was over. Overall you set out there to do what you needed to do and had fun getting it done and was also safe during those thunder bangs thanks for sharing take care and God bless. Tight lines.❤

There's so many xi3 reviews that state the motor goes haywire and the remote stops working. Maybe you can update when you use it.
@Austin_Torres7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I got rid of the XI3. Used the funding to pick up a Newport Vessel NK300. I think the motor have had multiple gremlins that popped up. With the considerable amount of use and variables of how people treated these things, took care of em. It’s hard to say why others had this reason with their models. I would have loved to have it for a longer duration but I ended up staying with my minn kotta power drive. It’s one pound heavier and slower then the XI3 but I’ll tell you one thing she’s never let me down. I think it may be due for a new rebuild on the bottom. But I would be happy to service it soon cause she’s loyal as hell to me. Big thanks for you taking the time to watch the video.
@Austin_Torres6 ай бұрын
I actually did use it a couple of times. And i Believe what your referring to is when it decides to randomly stop for no reason and turn. This in my opinion could be due to user error or potentially a bad batch of motorguides. It did do this to me a couple of times but only when i accidentally nudged the remote with my big ole arms. Never had this issue with my minn kotta. Also with the remote stop working could be due to its cheap build. If you ever take one apart its a very cheap plastic remote with week materials. I think if you sit on it. its done for. Stops working.
@jamessackett65806 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for the review. I'm trying to decide between both the motors you have there. I know pulling the motor is pretty easy with motorguides secure step. Is it that much harder to stow the power drive with the goofy ass lever? Is it something you did with Paracord? I currently have an endura 35 on the back with a PWM. I have to pull pretty hard to get that old fuckin dinosaur out of the water. Oh and thanks for the video, you answered a few questions that the khaki brigade at Cabela's here in East Grand Forks couldn't answer. Specifically, any questions I had. And yet I still bought the wrong head unit from a kid that didn't know anything about trolling motors, so the jokes on me. Thanks dude for your knowledge..
