I’ve played Royal Dornoch, Old Course, Trump Aberdeen, Castle Stuart, Kingsbarn, and Carnoustie. Set to play in 2026 North Berwick, Murfield and Trump Turnberry, along with Royal Troon. Also have played Cruden Bay and St Andrews Castle Course - two very good courses.

You forgot the movie Follow the Sun starring Glenn Ford as Ben Hogan and Ann Baxter as Mrs. Hogan. It's a biography about Ben Hogan, his early struggles, car crash, recovery, etc. There is real footage of Ben Hogan and Jimmy Demerate hitting golf shots. All shots that were supposed to be Glenn Ford were actually Ben Hogan. Also left out the bio film Seve.

Oh, and Jimmy Bullard, and Alan Hanson, pro ( football here, soccer in US) players, retired. Jimmy is scratch, Hanson was off 2 at Hillside, one of the hardest courses in England

Americans are world champions in a sport that takes place only in their country, with the belief everyone knows “ their stars”. Same with some of their entertainers, famous in the US but not worldwide.Nigel Mansell is in F1. He played off plus 1 at the time and went to try to go on tour. That is car racing in lots of countries, not just one!😉😉😂😂. Ivan Lendl, pro and major winning tennis player was the same. Neither made it. Who is really world wide famous??

Ivan Lendl, Nigel Mansell, both plus handicap golfers. Kenny G was off 1 when I was at the first Northern Rock Celebrity ( 2 days playing with guests, then 2 days USA vs Europe, Ryder cup style) and practised with Alice the following year. I was off 2 and Alice was properly skilled as a player, better than his 4 handicap. So many more, listed by others.

Funny the course pictured on the thumbnail isn't one of the courses listed. Nicklaus course at Hokuala. hole 14. MAybe my favorite course on the island of Kauai. (tough competition) Kind of wish they also mentioned Wailua Golf course as one of the best Muni courses in the country. Only costs about $80 to play. Also sad the best course on the islands (the Prince Course) has gone private. I remember playing it on one of the tiger woods games as a kid, then getting lucky to play it as part of a replay for cheep 15-20 years ago. Will never play another like it.
