This experiment demonstrates that the Earth is rotating and is not flat. The apparatus as stated has been constructed to ensure that any Coriolis force would be the dominant force. Because the water is rotating, then a Coriolis force is present and as there is no obvious Coriolis force being directly applied to the water, then it must be induced by a rotating Earth. Now as the water rotates counter clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere on a rotating Earth, then this means that the Earth can't be flat, as the water would have to rotate in the same direction if the Earth were flat, and it doesn't

Should the power in dB not be from: 20*log_(10)(abs(X[m;k]))? Since power is equal to the magnitude^2? i.e. if you wanted to use 10log10, you'd need to include the power of 2 inside the logarithm: abs(X[m;k])^2
