I had one of these (also a1970 model) and it's the car I remember with the most affection - lovely to drive and the most gorgeous of dashboards. On the debit side, by 1976 it had needed 2 new sills and a wing welded, and I suspect that it will have dissolved completely by the early eighties.

mechanical review ? That to me implies that you would be commenting on and talking about the engine. Since you didn't, does this mean you know nothing about about the nature of the suspension and engine. Waste of time Vid

I know that Ford has a better reputation in the United Kingdom than in Germany, for whatever reason? With us there is certainly no one left who is in this condition!! Super cool car, I haven't seen it for decades! Wow...... Thanks for showing!

Great car, just as a 318! It must have been built parallel to the E36? A really nice car!!

nice looking dashboard treatment. never liked the original dashboard-matching-the-body-color-look on these cars...much better, IMO, when it's matching the interior. i've never known an MGA to take that long to start. it looks like the driver didn't set the choke properly. in fact you can see @1:27 that the choke knob has not been pulled out at all, yet the temp gauge had yet to move off its resting mark. no wonder it didn't start up quickly or even run smoothly when revved.

That's oil temperature, but even when warm, the gauge actually hardly moves really as the original factory sensors are known to be a bit rubbish. Not sure if they degrade over time, or whether they always read incorrectly.
