Yes, so long as you are not flying directly above the railway tracks it is. Another youtuber by the name of "purple and co" does the same thing and I was lucky enough to meet him at Leicester station. So long as you stand in an area of public property and the station master there (If they have one; which Alfreton doesn't) is okay with it.

Assuming this was yesterday Friday 11th October. It would have been the 0951 Liverpool to Norwich. Terminated at Nottingham due to a freight train in front breaking down a few mins down the line. Delayed the service by 88 mins. 6M73 1100 Doncaster Up Decoy to Toton North Yard broke down shortly before Alfreton.
