I have a question, you recommend not to have more funds in portfolio which essentially gives index returns as the underlying stocks will be overlap among each of the funds. How do you mitigate such dilemma.

You can beat the index fund by adding on every dip other than normal SIP. If you are capable of 30k SIP, do SIP of 20k and add lumpsum 10k if index fall on the sane month

The whole influencer community in India is against index funds and etfs as they cost less , I have S&P 500 etf at 0.06 and bond index etf at 0.04 and they beat most active fund managers year after year

@ValueResearchvideoКүн бұрын
@@cgandham Hi! It means you could gain exposure to large-cap stocks through index funds instead of choosing active large cap funds.

Mirae fund managers have heavily underperformed the market in last 5 years. i am holding since 10 years. Still holding because income before 2018 income is tax free for me.

R u saying 2018 investments are tax-free? Can you please explain, I have a couple of investments from 2018 (started with lumpsum amts in my early 20s)
@TROYELLIOTКүн бұрын
@@sc7783 typo error. any investment before 2018 march are tax free upto the price on 31 march 2018 any gain above that days price is as per latest tax regime. Check grandfathering provisions of sections 112A For investment before 2018. As I invested in 2013. All my investment cost price becomes that price which is on 31 march 2018.
@justswingtrade19411 сағат бұрын
It is tax free upto 2018 only, but you have to pay tax on the returns you got from 2018.
@TROYELLIOT10 сағат бұрын
@@justswingtrade194 sure I am talking about my income not anyone else. I have 2013 to 2018 income locked in. I will pay tax whenever when I redeem. Hopefully the govt will change and one who doesn't tax only the middle class and poor unproprotionately to their income comes to power.

The issue is most people have the “I will do it myself mentality” but not skilled enough. Ideally, advisors are perfect reps for investing jobs and at first-hand experience, my portfolio has yielded over 330% since covid-outbreak to date, summing up nearly $1m.

Katherine Nance Dietz is the licensed FA I use. Just google the name. You’d find necessary details to work with and set up an appointment. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.
