Very appropriate music for the beginning of the first lap :D Came to your blog through the Self-Hosted podcast, was looking for the Tech Tips and stumbled on cool car content. Thank you for all the great content and awesome lessons for all things self-hosted.

I finally fixed it! I just couldn't get it to move with the Screwdriver. So, I finally tied a rope around the saw axel and wound it around a 2x4, and used it as a leaver to pry it up, and that worked!! I did have the bolt unscrewed about 1/2", but the other big bolt must have been so tight that the screwdriver wouldn't work. Anyhow, Here's a pic: i.imgur.com/i4hRf10.jpg

Darn, this did not work for me. I loosed the 13mm bolt about 1/4". When I lower the blade all the way down the belt is super tight. When I raise it up the belt is loose. I've tried prying that pully both ways with the screw driver. Even when the belt is loose it won't move a hair. It's locked in that position. The manual has a section on how to change the belt, which indicates your same instructions pretty much. It does say to lower the blade all the way, loosn the 13mm bolt, and then take the belt off. But the belt is rock solid tight when I lower the blade. Something else must be wrong, and I'm out of warranty. Whom do you call who knows how to fix a Table Saw?

I guess you realize how large the United States is compared to other countries and automotive travel is 99% of our travel. Trains just don’t get the use that they used to. Back before the 1940s train travel was 97% of the transportation and the station stations were quite elaborate.

Thanks for the video. Same Model.. My belt is completely loose when I move it down. Up it seems tight. That doesn't seem right.. If it's loose on the bottom, it should be loose everywhere. I'll give this a go and see if it fixes it.

Not really my kind of music but it sounded ok to me, but what do I know 😂. Keep up the practice & enjoy your trip to UK.

There is a purpose for this but not anything like using the stem for any purpose (yet) I never heard any stem from the split technique which sounded anything close to ok. I get the fact it's complicated to get the details right.

Does FL have virtual drummers, bass players and keyboard players and if it does are they anywhere near as good as the Logic ones? I am with Alex on the quality of the separations in Logic 11.

I have both. FL isn't as good. Especially on vocal tracks.

What fun to visit this route through your eyes. Yes, Texas never seems to end. I once rode the train from Oakland through LA to San Antonio and then was tacked onto a northbound train to Dallas. Maybe double the length of your route from Austin to Tucson. I did say"never again," though I think the food must have been better then. This was in 1995 or so. I had a sleeper from LA to San Antonio, but then coach in the other legs. The problem for me, being a little too overweight, was walking through coach after coach from my sleeper in the back to the dining car or the lounge car eight cars away. I'm glad you got to tick off one of your boxes. If you ever get a chance to come back, stay over in Williams AZ and ride the little local train from there up to the Grand Canyon. Totally worth doing. Happy traveling, and thanks for the report. -- Barbara Clark

Thanks for making this video. As a European I always wondered what it was like in NA. This is just surreal tbh 😂

I love your expression while showing the station at the beginning. I suspect more Americans have seen European train stations than have seen Amtrak stations. ;) Some of the European Central train stations are nicer than most airports I've been to! We really enjoy taking Amtrak when we can (especially the leg between Denver and Grand Junction), but man it's beyond lagging behind most the rest of the world. Fun video! I enjoyed tagging along. :)

Thanks for the vid... The only thing I would change and/or add is that you don't need a screwdriver to pry, once the nut is loose you can just adjust the normal blade up/down to adjust the tension and get the belt tight.. Then retighten the 13mm.. Cheers!

Sounds great man! It's been fun to watch your audio setup evolve over the last couple years and the sound quality is great. Side note, I'm a software engineer transplant from the music industry. I got into the Self Hosted podcast and was pretty tickled when I found out you were a drummer and talked about a lot of the drummers I used to idolize. I just applied to Tailscale so maybe we'll have a chance to chat about it sometime haha. Anyway, thanks for everything you do and keep posting drum videos!
