Fun fact: they will eat anything that looks and tastes like food

Please do NOT feed your chickens that greasy and salty “treats” as salt is detrimental to all species of birds. There are many, many other healthy treat options for chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys and other pets.

I have chickens of my own. Every year during summer, they hatch new chicks, but sometimes, a chick hatches during night, but is too sick to live and the mother hen cast it out. That morning, when I open the coop so the chickens can run out, I see one of them eating a dead chick. It may be cannibalistic, but you'd be surprised how many cute animals out in the nature are cannibals.
@GeorgeJohnsonJackofAllTrades9 ай бұрын
Right. Makes sense in the wild. I heard the one thing to be careful is not to let them pick at one of their injured flock-mates. They see a little blood, peck, peck. And before you know it they get a taste for blood! That doesn't happen because you feed them table scraps even if it is chicken...

Ah yep. We see much the same with our small flock. We call it "World War: Mine". Especially if there's one really nice treat and all ten want it. Incidentally, the little white one leading the charge reminds me of our Esme. Same look, same determination to be front of the line for everything we bring.

Yep-been trying for 2 days to set the colors and get rid of the gas gauge. Eventually I would have made it to the manual. Figured accessory mode is like the car-wrong. Super happy with the speedo/tach-always like to see rpm's. Can tell 4 things at one glance- speed, rpm, gear and clock without having to toggle. Thanks brother-nice looking bike too.

Does your speedo display gear selection?
@GeorgeJohnsonJackofAllTrades Жыл бұрын
It does. But in the manual they make a point of telling you it works by calculating the gear from your speed and rpm and that it might not always be right. I've never noticed a problem but then again I don't ride the clutch in second gear...

I’m glad I found this video by pure chance. I have this gauge on my Iron, and you are correct, it’s a very good gauge and good value for money, but the instructions are really lousy. If I remember correctly, it doesn’t even mention to hold the trip button down before the settings work. I eventually gave up figuring it out, and left the settings as they were. After seeing your video, I will give it another shot.

@@GeorgeJohnsonJackofAllTrades I actually have a slight problem. So I set the settings to what I want them to be, and I am definitely saving each one of them before I go to the next one. When I turn the ignition on, and then off, and then on again to check whether the gauge has took my settings over, it loads my settings for a brief moment, only to go back to the original settings. Do you know why that is?

@GeorgeJohnsonJackofAllTrades2 жыл бұрын
I agree that would not be funny. But the behavior in this video is natural "pecking order cooperation". Definitely not fighting. It's difficult for chickens to pull apart bigger pieces of food by themselves. They don't know they're cooperating but they are.
