I see some guys make the hook line longer than the lead line. Other guys do what you do - make the hook line shorter than the lead line. What determines which to use?

For the sinker setup try wet the leader with saliva because when you pull fast to tighten the knot it causes friction and with 10lb test it would bust easy.

you have to do it this way because the air bladder expands as it is brought to the surface. the fish has a hard time going down own its own. you do this so it has momentum to be able to start using it tail to start swim. if you just take off hook and put in water it will start floating and doing circles. goes for all fish that are brought up from the depths.

Noticed you have a bixpy, how is it in local waters? about how fast? runtime at various speeds? is it worth it? is it too noisy? thinking about adding one to my sup to get to spots faster and start fishing. Mahalo,

hmm on low speed 1-2mph can last the whole trip for me. using it 50 percent of the time. trips average 6 hours. Higher speed maybe close to an hour can get up to 5-6 mph combined with paddling. Not too noisy, had strikes with it on. Game changer when out there with wind and current. Additional propulsion source is added safety, nice to have too. Worth it.

Hey, thanks. The setup is from the 2015 and newer Adventure Island model. Found the extra parts, aka, crossbars, and trampoline online, but had to go to a hobie dealer for the ama. Couldn't find an online store that would ship it here. I just had to mount the cross bars for the aka's on the revo 13 and it worked. Fishing out of Oahu here.

you would also have to match the inner diameter of your pipe size with the correct muzzle diameter. My inner diameter pipe size was 24.5mm and the MVD muzzle I purchased was a tad larger at 25mm so that's why I had to sand the muzzle down as in the video to get it to fit into the tube.
