The way the west fights wars and the restrictions it put in itself for humanistic reasons, are for the enemy, an opportunity. In Gaza humanitarian aid enrich hamas, keeps it in power, and keeps gazans at its mercy. In bibke wars were vicious. Not because thats how god wanted it. But because thats how people fought wars. If your enemy is vicious and you are not, you lose. All humanistic based restrictions should apply only when both sides believe in them. If they dont, then its the vicious side that will win every time. God dosnt want the vicious side to win. Your father isnt war criminal but a warrior for humanity, or whatever will be left of it after the progresive are done destroying it.

It's long mystified me how the Pope, any Pope, could support a religion that, by its very nature, he should consider at false religion. If the Pope doesn't believe that Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular is the one true religion then why should anybody else? Nine years ago my wife and I were involved in an ISIS inspired attack right here in Sydney. Not one single Christian minister bothered to come into our street to check on the welfare of any other Christians despite it being broadcast over every news channel in the country and a large part of the world. Even Donald Trump acknowledged it from the White House. The so called representatives of Christianity all joined hands with the participants at the local mosque where the attacker had been radicalised however and even signed a letter stating that they supported this same, false religion. So then why would you expect the leader of THE Church to support Israel in the face of that?
