Great choice ,older excalibers the only way to go,not a steel cable for string ,synthetic fibers ,get a better target or you'll start ripping veins (feathers) off and if you can't repair them ,arrows get pricey, and don't shoot multiple arrows at same spot or you'll start Robin hooding your arrows, thr for wrecking them.mark one vein with a marker and that becomes your cock vein and it always goes down in the slot ,so arrows are shot same way every time ,consistency is key ,great shooting and take care ,you can check out death by Bunjie crossbow channel on u tube he has lots of videos, you can learn everything you need to no about crossbows from him.

Gracie is so smart. She thought it was veggie on that fork. Did you see how she paused before she took it?

Practice makes perfect you both did very well. Just a suggestion I'm not sure if on your next crossbow you could get a red dot scope? I would put a red mark right on the target for you to shoot at. This actually looks like fun. So happy for you both God Bless and happy hunting. 🙏❤🙏

How much fun. Howie is a natural at explaining how everything works for an old gal that has never been exposed to cross bow hunting. Great video!
@jae48077 сағат бұрын
That was fun to watch! I really enjoyed Howie explaining the sighting in of the target, its a lot more technical then I thought (I'm not a hunter). Looking forward to seeing more practice and hopefully a successful hunt!

AWESOME video! I was telling my son (who was on the archery team in HS and then a coach while he was in college) about you guys purchasing a cross bow & how I would like to get one. He used a compound bow for archery. I had NO idea how much strength was needed to just set up the shot AND how much time it takes! Not exactly something that can be used for protection ~> like I was think for SHTF. I can’t even imagine trying to hunt when it takes so much to prepare the shot. Wow. Now I’m curious as to whether the archery club here has some sort of program for crossbows. They were the ones who sponsored the archery program for my son’s HS school to bring back archery skills AND I know there are a few bow hunters here even though we live in a borough of NYC. There has also been some talk about getting bow hunters to help “control” the exploding population of deer here because the city’s vasectomy plan didn’t work (don’t laugh…. This is the “quality” of politicians we have here in NYC….🙄). Anyway…. again, AWESOME informative video!!! Looking forward to updates! 🎯

Good practice both of y'all. You're definitely in the kill zone, now you just do some minor adjustments & you'll have it hitting bullseye every time. Next thing ya know, Howie will be dressing out a deer or two this year cause meat is getting a little too pricey out there. Btw, how much are deer tags up there in Canada? Is it the same or has that gone up too? I'm rather curious now, lol. Great job you guys! Glad you have a hard case to carry it in, as well. God bless you both ❤ Oh also I noticed when I leave a comment here on your video, my name comes out as scrappy836548, but on the live chat it goes by my actual name Amy Boado. The scrappy is my original channel name but I changed it to my real name a few years back. Kinda strange how it does that - anyway just thought I'd let you know. GBY.

😀in the zone!! Good job you guys! My hubby and I also hunt together. We hunt for food. But if and when we get a nice one they go on the wall. I have two hubby has one. lol. Again we hunt for food. Might as well say it - because the hate will come my after saying that. I also raise my own food too. Garden and meat. But i also have 2000 # pet steer to. So there is that. God bless, Bev and Howie!!

I should have asked you what engine you're running. My older brother used to build mustangs in the early 70s . He had a 66 notch back with a 289 351 ported and polished Windsor heads with a tunnel ram.

💁🏻♀️When I was much younger in my teens about 35-40 years ago, 2 of my 8 brothers and I couldn't wait for fall and bow season here in Texas because that meant turkey season and we'd always bring home at least 2 birds between the 3 of us...🤔some of our birds were sooo beautiful and they were quite tasty I'll say😊

Thank you so very much for this video. I have organic Concord grapes coming on and I want to make grape juice. I’ve made crabapple, rhubarb, chokecherry and mixed berry juices. This year I want to add grape to all the others I have. Thanks again and many blessings💝🙏🏻💝
