I remember setting up my Hi Fi system with my brother and watching this consort at home,,😂.

June 1985. Watched the first 10 seconds of the first show, instantly realised it was genius and leapt for the VCR record button. Then recorded all the audio from the first series on a C90 cassette and edited out the music. Then put the cassette into my Walkman and played it constantly until I knew all these links off by heart. How much more 1980s can you get?

Mark, thanks for posting this complete in order concert. Kiki has been soooooo underrated especially as a songwriter. I think we all know she can sing from "I Got The Music In Me" to Elton's "Dont Go Breaking My Heart". Love this so much. Sugar on the Floor is one of my favorite standouts from her!!

The new music here is from Kiki Dee’s Night Hours album. Truly one of the best albums of the 70s that was sorely under appreciated when it came out. Get the album if you want the horn arrangements on such burners she did here like “In Return” and “Standing Room Only.”

I was in a BMRB chart return shop when this was out in late 1982. RCA really pushed this single and I recall Peter Powell at Radio 1 championing the band. The problem was the producer totally missed the mark by evidently making the singer sing and act in a totally ridiculous Claire Grogan of Altered Images style. CaVa CaVa could have been as big as Kajagoogoo in ‘83 because the tune was there. Sadly the performance and delivery was wrong xx
