I've got a few bulbs like onion size, they have long leaves but I'm not sure if they are amaryllis or clivia, do you have video for comparison?

I am heartened to see another gardener using a shovel with flip flops! I have Casablanca that's been in a pot for 3 years now - much less enthusiastic bloom this year so I'm going to use your method to move it (and its little ones) into the garden when the leaves are declining. Thanks for the excellent video!

Have you ever had 2 stems come out of 1 corm/stalk? Not a corm that had divided? I have. I've been growing glads for 57 yrs and this year was the 1st time I've ever seen this! I was amazed!🤔😯

This video is wonderful. It sounds so easy this way. I just need to get a couple boxes for my different colors, and some sand! I had SO many bulbs morph into 2 full bulbs that I'm hoping I won't have to buy any next year, if I can keep these over winter. Thanks😉

Great garden. Have you heard of the hardy banana, Musa basjoo? You can put them in the ground, put mulch over them to protect them from the cold winter temperatures and they will come up in April when the ground starts warming up. I grow them in the SW suburbs of Chicago.

Thanks for the great information. I know your bulb gets more energy for healthier plants the next year so you ought to allow the stems to dry out some if possible. Once the green is gone your bulb can no longer store energy and then is the ideal time to dig them up weather permitting.

Funny. Our garden's have personalities. We can name every friend. I too visit several times a day watching them develop. I got so excited yesterday I had a Zebra Swallowtail butterfly visit. I've never seen one before. It was visiting my blue lobelia. My Rue and a Meadowsweet are my new favorites. They came from an end of season markdown 50 cents for 2" containers. So it's been a long year wait to see them bloom. I share your ideas of the mix. I like a happy carefree look for a garden.

It's better to leave them for a week or two with their leaves on until they turn brown before cutting them off, that way the bulb has more energy for the next year.

I watch this video a couple years ago and started a beautiful border with your method; it filled in very nicely. I have a couple huge clumps that have bare spots in the center not sure if it’s from my hard clay soil, or just maybe it needs division because it’s overgrown, or possibly my dog Abby likes to lay on the 2 big clumps because it’s like a little bed for her to people watch😂 despite that great back drop for pictures of her.

I will adopt this method, which is easy and was well explained. I will definitely wait until my tops are yellow/wilted. I'd also not leave on the old corm if it was that fat. I suspect they hold some sugars for the new corm.
