Great video Stan even had Mikey, who've I've mentioned to him already about. Saw a number of our local members direct or indirectly in your video. That Mini screen as you can imagine they replicated the original Mini screen from the ICE version into the infotainment screen. It's supposedly at this point anyway until the Alpine 290 comes our way the hot hatch well the original was/is, the Aceman is bigger than the OG Mini EV.

Hey Charles - yes indeed Mikey was there with the Tim Tam! It was a great expo so well done. Having the Aceman there and the new Taycan and EV5 was impressive. I did wonder if they are bringing the Renault 5 and 290 here, they would be great little hatches to drive I reckon!

@@Sensei_it_is I would never own a Tesla in a million years. I have even less faith in humanity after the election and am far less positive about the world. Hopefully I can stay motivated to keep making content and stay engaged in the community but at the moment feeling like there is very little point to it all.

Test drove a Polestar 2 LR single motor recently. Loved it, but not easy to buy and trade at Sydney Polestar when you live in regional NSW. Hopefully that will change soon

Stan, 1 Subscriber to your first landmark on KZbin!! You'll have to keep an eye out for when you cross the threshold. But as I type this it's 999 subscribers. You may even be packing ready for the drive to Tassie. If that list near the beginning of your video is to be believed which I find it odd it is as there is no VW ID.4's for sale in Australia so not sure how number 40 went around Australia in it when it's only MAYBE been testing but that wouldn't include a round Australia trip I doubt by VW testing team.

Heya. Yes I am indeed packing today. Not taking the fridge and putting the spare tyre in the boot. Yes the ID4 is an interesting one. It was done by a German adventurer dude and his co driver. He shipped his own car over but probably had some level of support given their route. Google their story about tracing out at big VW over Australia - like I said it’s interesting!

Wow first comment, how did I beat Sensei. Only 6 subscribers to the magical 1000 you should at the end of each of your videos always state please subscribe, hit the bell icon and comment as I suspect many of your viewers don't even think of it. Many other channels do it and I think it must help abit at least. :) When you come to Tassie, make sure you stop in Ross, no chargers yet but NRMA will be installing 180kW units, but there is the Ross Village Bakery there is award winning vanilla slice so look forward to hearing your take on them when you go through and just 10km down the road from Campbell Town which has 2x350kW EVie chargers which are very popular at certain times.

Yes. Very nice to drive. Much bigger than my Polestar, that’s not always a good thing as I love the performance and road feel of my P2. The tech in the P3 is very good and I would wait for the RWD version with LIDAR. Maybe I’ll just keep my Polestar 2 forever though!

Looking to upgrade then to the P3 next year? Have you checked out the P4 yet? Unfortunate about the EVie chargers, one area that needs serious improvement is charger reliability but then looking at the manufacturer of the hardware there it's no wonder it didn't work well.

Hey!! I was caught up in the moment and while I would love to update to the new technologies, I think I will also be happy with my Polestar 2 for many years. We will see how long. I would wait for the RWD version of the P3 with LIDAR. I’ll have to test the P4 but for some reason the comfort and style of the 3 appeals to me more., Ahh yes a lot of Evie’s are Tritium but they still usually work and seem to be reasonably maintained. I quite like the Evie network. See you in Tassie soon. Very exciting!

Heya - the full lap of Australia is just under 15,000km and I did it in 33 days, becoming the 41st person on the official register to do the pure EV lap. I’m headed to Tasmania next week to complete the loop!

Been enjoying these posts - currently doing a mini loop myself in my EX30 AWD. I came down from Sydney -> Bega -> Eden -> Cann River -> Melbourne -> Torquay -> Warrnambool (Great Ocean Drive done!) and now winding my way back via Geelong -> Ballarat -> Bendigo -> Albury -> Wagga... Off to Jindabyne tomorrow, then Queanbeyan and home. Amazing to see it works so well in the Polestar 2, it was nearly what I went for!
