We love you. First of all shout out to you man. Great production, great content. You're a great guy man. But one of the best videos I've seen on total knee replacement. You straight up honest about it. I am 70 years old. I need both of them replaced. I guess I'll get one or the other at one time. I'm just worried about a whole bunch of pain and all that kind of stuff. Well keep up the good work man. You got two of them done. That's crazy! Oh well. Take care of yourself. Peace out. I'm out of you😊

I’m at 10 months right TKR and 8 months left TKR so I had Bilateral total knee 2 months apart. Am doing good except stairs have been a bit challenging and hoping it gets better since it gets in the way at work. No issues walking & no pain & swelling only happens when I over do it & spend all day on my feat.

@@directsound I am Jiu Jitsu Black Belt as well. And our sports plays mostly on the ground. I can for the first time in 9 years kneel down and almost sit down on my heels. But I do a lot of stretching for it. Doc says after 6 months I can also be back on the mat. Are you stretching a lot?

I’m on my 7th day of rehab right now after a total arthroscopic right knee replacement surgery just 10 days ago, and I think I’m much farther ahead of what this shows. Today I have little if any pain (only after the PT and OT, can lift my leg up onto the bed without any aid, and the icing everyday after PT/OT has helped immensely and has led to more rapid healing. And today, just the 10th day after surgery, I’ve already negotiated going up and down 5 stairs. It was rough going and soreness for 4 days after surgery, but I could not be more pleased with my progress on day 10.

I appreciate you sharing your story, but that is so far from the truth. This is a excruciating pain recovering this stuff is horrible. I’ll take my head off to you for doing both of your knees. I only did one. I couldn’t even get out the bed and walk I had to go to a convalescent hospital. This stuff is horrible. I don’t see how they send you home that fast, but God bless you. Thank you for sharing your story but mines suck. I just got it done on 16 August and I’m still in pain. It made my sciatic nerve start acting up so much pain in my arms and my hip felt like it was just burning on fire. This is a terrible surgery.

Hi, I’m 12 days in and 12 nights! The nights are the worse! Great idea with the plastic bag, I’ll try that and let my surgeon into the secret! Emotional I am all over the place and I’m struggling with PT big time. How you coped with two at the same time is a wonder. I’m upstairs in bed and my freezer with ice is downstairs. It’s 2.30 am and I feel like I’m going to crack up with pain and lack of sleep! 😢

@lilmama44263 ай бұрын
What type of total knee replacement did you have? Meaning did you have traditional knee replacement or the robotic type? I ask because I’m about 3.5 weeks from my 1st TKR and am having the robotic type. I already have severe back pain (have had multiple spine surgeries/fusions in lower spine & neck over the years) and that’s why I’m afraid to get both knees done at once (not sure id even be a candidate). Honestly I’m really afraid of losing the small amount of mobility I have now; I love to deer hunt or just enjoying the woods but that’s gotten a LOT tougher since both knees have gotten at the bone on bone stage; before I could tough out the spine pain but now both knees have completely stopped me from doing everything (I rarely leave the house unless it’s a doc visit). I’m hoping getting my knees done will give me a bit more mobility but it’s really scary to think about losing the bit I have now (even though it’s excruciatingly painful as is). I hope I will have a good outcome like you & some of the other commenters have gotten. I’m interested to see what types of TKR you & they have had. I’ve researched both types & know that they are extremely similar & the only difference is a bit less trauma to the soft tissues like muscle & ligaments but who knows….docs tell you one thing but you learn after the fact something totally different lol. Thanks in advance for ANY info, it will be much appreciated. I hope you keep getting better & better.🙏🏼

To be honest Iost track of your progression right before your knee surgery - so glad you are back on board :-) Love your vibes - encourages me to try again taking up kitesurfing despite my post-covid heart issues during our upconing summer holidays. 😊 Let's see how that goes. What would you say: When using the 14 sqm with the one-directional ... what kitesize would that be with a twintip roughly ...?
@directsound3 ай бұрын
All depends on the board size and volume and your weight. Twin tip might need a bit more wind for my board size .

Thanks for sharing your journey. I am three weeks from getting my left knee done. Its 3am and I am in pain. Watching you and see where you are give me hope Mike. I am a native SoCal guy 51 years old. Been in pain for 4 years now with bith knees. My Doc. Did not want me to do both knees at the same time. So left was fires and in three months my right will be next. I am a pretty active guy myself. Grew up surfing in Malibu and Ventura. Mountain bike racing and cycling 100 mile races. I know live in South Carolina. Some days I feel like a total baby with the pain. Thank you again for giving me hope that it will get better. Been pretty stressed and wonder if I made the right choice and got it done. Guess I am happy I did just the one and not both at the same time. It's really testing my faith.

If I did one I wouldn't have done the other as I'm a big baby and am allergic to pain! I still gave pain but it's different but manageable, I can't get on my knees or jump but I'm strong and back to Kitesurfing. I just moved to Florida and loving it. You got this just move, move ,move and ICE! 🤙❤️🌴
