Hey man, I watched your KDP videos about three months ago, and they inspired me to get a Wacom Pro tablet. I’ve been practicing every day for hours, working hard on my drawing skills, and now I feel pretty good about it! I just finished my first coloring page, taking a little inspiration from Coco Wyo. I noticed that Coco Wyo has a really professional-looking store on Amazon. Do you think it’s possible for us to set up a store like that, or is it not really necessary when starting out? Thanks, man!

Well I published my first Book on Amazon. Coen the Unicorn. Kids book My sales seem to be Australia and UK. I’m trying my best but need to work out how to do the ads. I’m currently selling about 5 books a months and I think it’s been published for 3 months

Great content and transparency on your videos.Any insight about the added vat on books in UK?? I don't see many people talking about it, found just a video related to it.Found out that a book that we were selling with 7.99 appeared overnight listed with 9.59, with the VAT added extra to the listing price.Other books are unaffected yet.Of course that means if we still wanna sell it we'd have to list it with a lower price and ...quite a lot reduced royalties. I see this VAT applies quite randomly so far.Any thoughts?? Many thanks

Yeah it's really annoying :/. I just went through and checked my books that sell in the UK and adjusted the ones affected. If they were selling at say 6.99 and that changed to like 8.24 or whatever I'd round it down to 7.99. less royalties and higher price point is frustrating, but not much we can do

Great, very helpful video for a newbie like me. I want to publish a kids book of of songs (own, original songs). It will be in music notation format with the voice and a piano accompaniment. Good luck! If publishing on Amazon then likely best bet is to provide a QR code to a landing page on your website with instructions, info and MP3 download.

At 16:21 - I owned the Copyrights. Do you need to register the KDP ebook somewhere or as long as you have used your own text and commercial usage allowed items, one can simply choose I own copyrights tab ?

Yeah I went into that in a previous video. One newer book was blocked a little while ago and they asked me to review my bookshelf so I decided to take a better safe than sorry approach and remove anything that could have been seen to potentially against Amazon terms

Good job, mate! Last month was quite a good month for me as well, although I am quite far from your results (for the moment 😉). My top one book sells 100% organically and that's good news. The problem is that, here, in France, we are actually facing a major problem about double VAT rate, leading Amazon (even though it was their mistake) to unpublish lots of our books, to then republish them with around 15% rise. All this without any notification. Hence a drop in the sales due to less books visible... I hope all this will be solved very shortly. See you next month☺

That's frustrating and I hope it's sorted now. That's the risk with going all in on Amazon, they could just change things with the click of a button! Good luck though for Novemeber and December and it sounds like you're on a good path!

Hey there! As always great video. Any plans on talking about A+ content or publishing processes again? I ask because I'd like to know, if I publish on KDP in the US, does it automatically publish worldwide? Canada, UK specifically, and then for A+ content, is there a way to easily transfer my US market A+ content to other countries without having to redo it each time?? Similar for ad campaigns in other markets too?

A plus though. Create in one marketplace and then when you load up another marketplace click show drafts, and it'll.be available there to edit and publish!

Royalty payments are paid at the end of each month - but with a 2 month delay. e.g. you will get July payments come through at end of September

Hi, I heard from a other KDP publisher like you that the new book needs to have a little bit of age before spending ads, like two weeks for example, so that it can get traction. That person mentions that new books with ads don't work. In my personal opinion, I think Amazon does that to avoid unfair competition, not from people like you, but from big publishers. Having said that, thanks a lot for sharing your experience. You make this journey feel possible. Good luck for November.

Nope they lied it comes down to how saturated the niche u are in is. I'm publishing in a niche with very very low competition and stable demand I haven't used ads for October and half of September. Now have over about 50 orders and roughly 120 in profit and based on how I started November I'm expecting to reach my goal of 500US in profit for Q4.

I disagree with that but there are lots of different strategies. I tend to start my ads the day after it goes live. The first 2 weeks tends to have a bit of a boost from Amazon and from my experience the first month is the most important for ranking for keywords so I prefer to get going asap... I wonder if the person who suggested this is just trying to protect their own books 😂

Is there any way to pay you for an hour of your time to look over my books? I think I have some pretty good products and I know everyone thinks that, but I have a graphic arts, degree, communications degree, and writing degree, so I think they're coming out pretty good. I'm selling on average 20 books a month but I'm not spending nearly the amount you're spending on advertising. I think my biggest problem is keywords and advertising. Congratulations on the results, very good. Just one thing, I hope I'm not being a bother, but even with the books blurred, it's possible to see what the pen name is. It starts with the letter "C," right? I know because I have books that compete with yours, so if you want to keep things more private, perhaps blur the books a bit more next time. Imo they are both the two best text to image AI tools out there, and they each have their strengths. For minimal coloring pages or sketches dzine is better from my experience. It midjourney is better at some other things. Have a play around on the free and see what you think :).

There are so many bad AI colouring books on Amazon and that's why so many colourists are refusing to buy AI books now. You can spot them a mile away as they have things like 6 fingers per hand, lines and items that don't make sense. They are churned out to make quick money basically ripping people off with bad images that the so called creators haven't bothered to check or edit. I'm not against AI colouring books but Amazon need to start checking the quality of the images.

100% agreed on the final part but ai is improving every month and the things like 6 fingers is pretty much a thing of the past now. If you use a good tool like this and fix blemishes you can't tell the difference really. That's a bad thing for artists, but it's where we are with AI.

Yeah if you're making coloring books, you need to advertise them to sell them as they have a lot of competition.

It depends if it's trademarked, but to be safe do something similar but different. I wouldn't advise copying titles anyway!
