Finally, now I can spend less time unwinding a big ball of straps and actually use them properly! This has been a source of contention between myself and my boyfriend, his way has always been a huge mess. Now I can show him the video and remove a pending argument from our relationship. THANK YOU!

Did you mention tying off the slack? Maybe I missed it. Also, when comparing straps you can’t say one strap is cheap because compared to another when they large capacity differences. It is a royal pain to try and tie down a 100 lbs load with an 800 capacity strap.

Did anyone tell you that you sound like Ira Glass? And you do bring a This American Life tone to this. And what's more American than a ratchet strap? Oh, by the way, great tutorial.

the only reason a strap vibrates in the wind is if it is not tight enough PERIOD. crank them down no twist required and therefore no penalty to capacity

Good video! I also lubricate mine occasionally. They can get a bit sticky the older they get due to weathering. A drop of oil makes a huge difference.

Deoxit has been good to many of us… at least the product itself… the nozzles on their cans have been a different story, but the product itself is great.

At 4 minutes, pull it back over itself - that just leaves the strap loose so it doesn't put tight as described. By pulling on the webbing to "stretch it out", I just run into the hook at the end of the strap - so I have to be missing something. We need a view of how the strap is threaded at 4:07. Help......

@kivacin 23 күн бұрын
Ah, I think I've figured it out. He said to ensure you had the ends (hooks), but never stated that they both must be attached to something. I was trying to do it in the air! Once both ends were locked onto something, it seems to work (I hope).

This video was too long. Waste of time. Too much talking and voice is annoying. It could have been 20 seconds. Just show the light bulb

So, the higher temperature Kelvin, the COOLER the bulb? Makes perfect sense 🤔 But, doesn’t a “warm” light imply hotter on the Kelvin scale? And, at least to my eyes, isn’t the hotter the light, the more blue and pale (“cold”?) things appear to be? THIS is what is confusing about the terminology. The color temperature calibrated by the Kelvin method is exactly the opposite of what the general public thinks of as “warm” and “cold”. For example, people usually feel that red, orange and yellow are warmer, white and blue are cooler, but the color temperature of red is actually the lowest and then gradually increases are orange, yellow, white, and blue, with blue being the highest color temperature.

Thank you! I am so glad I'm not the only one with an obsession with these games. I currently live in Australia and picked up a game called Space Grid about 6 years ago or so and loved it because it has a skull on the front with a pirate ship and skulls and pirates are the ultimate! I never played it until a few months ago when I bought an Atari 2600+ and yep, the game was awesome. Turned out Space Grid was Turmoil. In Australia, I could only imagine the games were produced by the same company as the Zellers games named Funvision. The Australian releases were under Action Hi-Tech/Hi-Score and have only the UFO painting and the "Skull Island" one. I now have 17 out of the proposed 38 games released here, 11 of them boxed. I'm not sure if they are rare in Australia as retro game collecting has kind of died down but they are getting harder to find. If a seller knows what they have, just the cart can go anywhere from $35 to $75 loose and sadly, I just bought two complete in box from someone for $200 but both games are excellent! I have two videos I think and a short I posted today about the games. I love them and I love the mystery of what the game is actually going to be because what's on the label usually isn't it! I think the only released game that I have that kept the original title is Pac Kong.

Great video! Thanks! Local fabric store has a deal this week featuring OLFA, and I’ve been needing the whole set-up. So, thank you for covering the mat and straight edge as well. Appreciate your Channel Statement too. I’ve learned some very useful things, and some things have come out comically wrong. At least I still learned something! + Subscribed.

Great video - thanks for going into detail about the parts and mechanism. Also, the comment you made about the “application”, i.e. why/how truckers twist the strap, was very helpful because I’ll mostly be using them outside on the highway so the twist trick is a good tip to know!

My XS max has this issue at the moment and at first i thought its the battery, then later thought its the since changing the battery didnt fix anything so i naturally suspected the software (since i had upgraded to ios 18.1 thought maybe its a glitch) but nothing worked. So im stuck at the moment, it now wont even power on its own battery and it only switches on when connected to the charger. HELP!!!!
