Great watch, but why do you give so many reasonably in depth looks at other peoples watches but virtually none for your own brand? I came across your CD200SKX7 on ebay and headed to KZbin to see some kind of review or overview, but all I found was some very small clips on your channel.

Such a shame it lacks the day. I would have went for this one over all the other homages I've seen so far. Maybe add a cyclops to make up for it, like on the SSK001K1.

Why ruin this watch with a Miyota 8215? They have access to PT5000 movements (a good ETA 2824 clone), and they use them in their Calatrava homage.

The Seiko shake is not really the correct movement. Believe it or not you are supposed to gently clap hands whilst holding the watch sideways. The rotor then whizzes around and winds the watch more quickly and safely. 2:05

I don't think there's a definitive right or wrong way to wind an automatic watch without manually winding the crown. I'll give your hand clap a try and see if it gives the watch the pre-wind boost it needs. Thanks for commenting

I got mine with the ss bracelet. Feels a bit lite/cheap but is fine. Thought I might get the blue but chickened out because I think it might look cheap. The watch head is very good. No issues. Luke is awesome and really is a original looking watch. I really like it. Owned for 3 weeks.

Good feedback on the SS bracelet. Is it solid link or hollow link? I went for the silicone strap - no issues with that one.

@@chronodivers soild endlinks with pushpin. Not a bad bracelet but the push pin kept popping off. Milled clasp was nice, the shell is pressed. Great watch all in. I got another berny am135m-a black and orange at the same time. Bracelet is the same quality.

Lug to Lug width wise (for the strap) is 22mm. Lug to Lug HEIGHT - for diameter across the wrist - is 47mm. I have 17.5cm circumference wrists (skinny for a male) - but my watches fit the wrist well.

That was the point of the video 🧐 To show how easy it is to do - even for a complete amateur as I was then. That was my first assembly and it all went well. I've done dozens since and they all get easier 👍🏼

Got mine yesterday. Looks like cost cutting has started. The bezel ring is no longer ceramic and the numerals on the bezel right no longer have lume. It's just a stainless steel ring with a brushed dual-color finish and a single dot of lume at the 24hour position. It's fine, I guess. Disappointing.

Oh i see so the watch simply has to have the current hour to around after 6 am and thats when we can safely change the date, thanks.

That's it. People get a little excited sometimes and go straight to quick set date without checking if the process has already started. This can damage the movement.

I will do similar one of the S500 sometime .. it's away for repair right now .. I did a dumb and dropped the poor thing, so it had to go back to ol' blighty. But seriously .. I watched your video many times .. it's all the sutble sounds and everything .. total ASMR .. and it's with a watch I REALLY like (cuz I have the exact same one .. later model though with london in the text instead of swiss made .. you have one of the original batch).

I have one of these ... Batman coloured .. actually pretty good for it’s price. Though .. fun fact .. that bezel is actually 90 click. Count the clicks for 10 seconds .. it’ll be 15 clicks. weird eh :D
