Anyone know if this was before August or after August of 94? My father in law was Senior Chief Quartermaster and retired shortly after the great lakes cruise in 94.

I was driving home through Middletown, DE around 8:15pm and saw this huge plane flying low, the underside all lit up, about to fly right over me. Looked it up on Flight Aware which only listed MAFIA17 and left from Buffalo. Googled, and wow! Amazed at how cool it was that I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to see *this* plane flying on its way home to Dover AFB.

This brings back many memories. My stepdad worked on this ship in the engine room for many years until it was taken out of service. He was a member of the SIU. Most of my childhood was spent during these times. My grandfather sailed on the Enterprise.

What are the barge and tug drafting? How deep is the Canal at this location? Fascinating to see the Erie Canal being used as intended in 1825, almost 199 years ago! RL
