Dude, accent is on the first syllable. HAIR-uh-tic. Like Heresy. But otherwise good review. It can’t be worse than the Popes Exorcist, so middle of road isn’t a ditch like that was.

As a Horror fan Bruh this franchise sucks so bad man, bad acting, bad direction, bad script... The only good thing is the practical effects :v
@Mclovinit817119 күн бұрын
This movie reminds me of and basically mirrors Rob Zombies Halloween 2. Its messy, disconjointed, tries doing something different only to ultimately fail, and a director who's completely burned out from the concept bc of studio interference. Both were hated by fans, both are objectively pretty bad movies. I believe they both are a result of director self sabotage, you intentionally make something bad knowing people wont want another. I believe thats exactly what both movies were doing and why they are both so shit.

I respect your opinions but feel like this genre of movie just wasn't your cup of tea. As a huge horror and film fan I really enjoyed this film and the breathe of fresh air it's given to the genre while celebrating special effects of old.

Hate to say it but yes. This is what fan service culture has brought us. Unneeded sequels, retcons, reboots etc. We "demanded more" now all we have is quantity over quality. We are all guilty.

I don’t think it has anything to do with Heath ledger. Joker 2019 ended with him wiping blood on his face to make a smile. This one ended with a guy making a more permanent mark. He’s more committed to the joker movement As you said. This operates outside of standard DC universe…so stop thinking about it. Heath ledgers joker had cuts on his face. And the comic book joker cut his whole face off. Arthur flecks murderer did something similar. It doesn’t mean they’re connected

The key to this movie is when and where Harley Quinn became just a figment of his imagination
@JoeT-yh6bk21 күн бұрын
Never giving a thought, to the delusions that he had in the first film. Making up an entire romantic encounter in his mind, with a complete stranger. Never giving a thought to the fact that a person magically appearing in his solitary cell is 99.9% the same thing occurring
@thesadunicorns122 күн бұрын
I came to the EXACT same conclusion about the finger gun thing. Harley would have NEVER even known to do that. It’s like Todd doesn’t even know his own movie. You are the first person I’ve seen touch on this; thank you!

What don't you understand??? You can't understand a true psychopath, the film is shit but it's clever. I like how a random unknown comes out shivving, that's reality. Not entertainment.
@nopatiencejoe637620 күн бұрын
But movies are meant to be entertainment and to have a message, if I wanted to now about random acts of violence with little to no point to it, I'd watch the news, can't be more "that's reality" than that.
@kostantza124 күн бұрын
You articulated all my issues. There is a truly incisive movie in there, in bits and pieces, but it tries to have a little of everything and in the end doesn't really cover anything. I was thinking that the core themes remind me of some old (psychological?) thrillers by Cronenberg, and I think that's the kind of hand it needed. Also, kudos, the shower scene was both unnecessary and kinda disturbing in such a callous inclusion.
@rosyvision24 күн бұрын
I don't understand how the movie could be this bad and illogical. Like it's hard to believe it's the same writers 'cause this is just messy and overlooks so many inconsistencies. The first Joker was inspired by other movies but the dialogue writing was good and made sense. With this it's like they don't care and just thought it be an easy buck.

I believe that the title of the short film "The Kid And The Camera" is a metaphorical name. I believe that the clay animation themed world that's shown by default is representing how the child sees everything, and that the camera is a vessel for us as the viewers of the tape to see reality as it is. Hence why every time Cailen takes a picture of something, it is seen as a real life image. The animation is through the child's eyes. Reality is through the camera's eye. I think the reason why the one real life shot that there is with the sleep fairy in view is so disturbing is because everything is real... except for the fairy. Which makes me wonder how different the fairy would have looked had Cailen taken it's picture during the initial appearance at his bedroom window. The reason why the fairy was a real creature with facial expressions and anatomy in the cartoon was because in Cailen's eyes, it really was a real creature. But often times, predators who stalk and lure children like this know that their persona doesn't even need to appear or present itself as "real" because just gaining the child's trust is enough to persuade their developing mind. That's the reason why this is so eerie; not only is it eerily realistic, but it depicts an uncertain and cryptic perspective of reality though a child's eyes, and then brings actual reality crashing down to Earth.

I am an avid fan of the early Universal monster movies, so I will be harder than most on this film. The 1941 Wolf Man is so original; it has stunning effects, beautiful performances, and a very grounded story. The story is of a man struggling against an illness he cannot help, and a father losing both of his sons as soon as he learns to love them. It's goofy, and like too many films, suffers from a love story, but it has charm, depth, and originality. I'm happy that this isn't going to be a copy and paste, but I need to see more to be excited for it. So far it looks fine, but lacks any charm whatsoever. I have no issues with it so far, and I am prepared to eat these words, but I think this film has the potential to be quite dull and full of half baked ideas. Like I said, excited to be wrong. Also, I would love to see more reactions from you. A very fun watch.

"That had to be fake" This is still a really bad and wrong take. It wasn't fake, it was Paramount executives being stupid. The designers knew it was terrible but they were forced to make it that way. The bad reception of the look convinced the execs to allow the designers to fix it.
