98 400DA gas here. I’m gone in the time it took you to turn off the switches. 😄 Honestly you did everything by the book and to new boaters there’s nothing wrong with teaching the proper techniques especially nowadays. Been boating since a baby. My technique: I turn on battery breaker to run fridge, run blowers and start. Then unplug the shower power in the transom locker and throw the ropes. To each their own!

just wondering why you wouldn't just shut off the main breakers for ac voltage after shutting the ac down?
@shoopsdostuff10 ай бұрын
Great question, I like to slowly re-apply the load from each individual breaker rather than powering everything up at once from the main breaker. Just personal preference.

Why turn off each individual AC relay followed by the main, Couldn’t you just turn off the 2 mains?

Yes, but I like to slowly enable each load when re-powering to shore power. Just personal preference.

This isn't overkill at all. It's being a smart boater who cares about his boat. You can do what you want on your boat, probably keeping the mechanic busy.

Interested to know what that table is in the back?
@shoopsdostuff2 жыл бұрын
It is a resin table that we bought years ago at Aldi. It folds up and in half, so it is easy to store. The legs adjust so it could be eating height or more coffee table height (like it is in the video). We love it for those reasons. Here is a link to something similar on Amazon: amzn.to/3sFRmve (please note that this is an affiliate link). This could give you an idea of what to look for, however, the one on Amazon is definitely more expensive and I know we did not pay that much at Aldi.

Got any advice on best places to go to use the restroom BEFORE you get to Cedar Point? Like, in the Sandusky area? I try to find a way to not drink too much early in the day or before I get to the park because those restrooms near the front tend to be absolutely horrible. Also, if I'm there for early entry, I often have to wait in a line for 30 mins and I usually don't want to lose time stopping at the restrooms early on.
@shoopsdostuff3 жыл бұрын
That is a great question, with fast food dining rooms closed due to COVID it makes finding a public restroom very difficult. We drive from the East and will typically stop off at the rest stop in Vermillion on Route 2. It’s about 30 mins from there to Cedar Point. Not sure what direction you are coming from but finding a rest stop close by might be your best bet.

Are you happy with the Grady 216? I'm looking to purchase one, wondering how the ride is in a chop.
@shoopsdostuff3 жыл бұрын
Yes, we love it! In a head sea, we use the tabs to bow down a little extra to cut the v through the chop. You should definitely plan to do a sea trial to check it out for yourself.
@kurt86833 жыл бұрын
@@shoopsdostuff thanks for your reply, unfortunately this year all dealerships are sold out and the only way to buy is to order a boat, I've been able to see customer gradys 216 that were in for service but there is none for them to test ride.
@shoopsdostuff3 жыл бұрын
Ah, right. When we were looking at the 216 at the boat show a couple years back, we had multiple people (non-sales people) tell us that based on their experience with similar sized center consoles, none rode better than the Grady. We do not have experience with other brands to confirm but are very happy with it.
