hi from Italy, great car hope you can fix it. I can see that you are a great expert on VWs, may I ask you if front seats of the MK2 do fit in Golf MK1 I'd like to find some for my MK1. thank you

Hi. I haven't tried myself, but people tell me that the seat rails do fit but the adjuster lever to slide the seat forwards and back are on the opposite sides and need to be modified, flipped over

Yea the part numbers would be helpful if you have like vw ones. maybe I could cross reference. would like to have some better braking power in my Rabbit caddy.
@JunkVWs2 ай бұрын
The ones I posted in the video description are the manufacturers numbers, i guess they could not be found in a different website that doesn't offer the exact ones or cross reference other ones. It's been a while and I remember that it was a bit tricky to find the exact ones I wanted. What I could find in the VW code section after a quick look vented discs 171698471A calipers 321615301B 48mm piston seals 171615123 (also shows up as entire caliper) i hate part numbers :D pads 171615115A slide pin stuff 171698447 I'm not super familiar with the Rabbit brakes, but you could need to find the caliper bracket if you had the "small brakes" before. Every time i think I know most of the stuff about Mk1 brake options, I find something new about them

I ordered a brake rebuild kit from autofren as well but mine doesn't come with the plastic sleeves for the slide pins. Do I have like an updated version that doesn't need them because the original calipers had those installed.
@JunkVWs3 ай бұрын
I’m still confused about the types of slide pin boots. Never found out a definitive answer. Even information about greasing them was contradicting. I think newer calipers didn’t use the sleeves, and the rubber boots were tighter around the pins

What about 1.6 t.d turbo engine? İs it same reaction? Could it damage the turbo?
@JunkVWs3 ай бұрын
don't think this could affect the turbo itself. Will pour some in my turbo golf next year. But for the future I will dilute the oil with diesel fuel at least 50:50. I think my pump started leaking from the added viscosity of 100% cooking oil
@muhammedbirlik31293 ай бұрын
@@JunkVWs I think so. 50/50 is better way. I meet with a man. He had using used flower oil in golf 1.6 d. about 10 years He told me . Only filtering good with fine cloth and adding 20/1 gasoline for to reduce the viscosity of the oil

If you don't want honest comments, don't post your videos, keep them to yourself. And you don't post just one video, I have watched a few. And all are similar. I do know how glow plugs work but it's still a plug, therefore they need changing, otherwise they would sit in a car forever. Yes, you won't hear from me again. dude how about you chill out and relax. Feels like you make dumb assumptions before reading the title or watching the video. I don't want to spell out every single little thing in the video, but I will especially for you 😘 Why would it fall apart, do you know the climate here? Car was stored indoors (said in the video), brakes were seized, the reseller guy fought with them for 4 hours to get em moving. Diesel? what about diesel, fuel is old, glow plugs were warmed even in the video you didn't watch apparently You too stupid to make a descent comment (you get back what you give out)
