I think if it weren't so precious and rare a car that it could be taking on some of those pesky hatches. They are ten-a-penny, shell replacement-wise, but one has to take care of this beauty around the track. It clearly is doing well, but without all-out trying in preservation of a rare car.

Hi, We was in the Triumph Stag, the other car I think was a Ford Escort completely stripped out and pretty quick. Thank you for your comment.

Hi, I know I am a big fan of your Car with the supercharged engine. You did a good job in the other 2 videos of the same event even against the Rover Vitesse. Keep them coming and good luck with your special Stag. I sold mine due to lack of use this spring but parts of me regret it already.

Hi Harry, Thank you for your comments much appreciated. Checkout the Santa Pod video of a compilation of the day. All the best.

Nice Video. Unfortunately your gearing seems a bit too long , so that your opponent got the upper hand. What Car was ist? I couldn't figure it out. An MG-B perhaps?

What an absolutely wonderful car, piloted by a couple of gentlemen and surprisingly quick too, I should know, I was in the other car, tip my hat to you sirs, best and most memorable race of the event, made my day. "One for the old Brits" (Hope you don't mind if I share the video)

Hi, Helmut, We did 5 runs and the best time was (58.99 sec) not bad for a heavy car. All the best Ian

Hello Ian, thank you. Yes everything under 1 min is excellent. Safe driving with your nice car. I recently sold mine over here due to lack of use and lack of proper knowledge for the engine.

Excellent Video. Shows what a proper prepared STAG is capable of. I wish you an excellent season nagracdc.I sold mine here in Germany due to lack of experienced service staff for the engine in Bavaria. But looking at your video I do miss it a bit.

Lovely Stag, great engineering adding the supercharger
@nagracdc8 жыл бұрын
Hi, Thank you for your comment. It is a TV8 full sequential fuel injection and supercharged. It has special uprated cams but other than that pretty much standard. Power output is 252bhp & torque figure is 220. It was a meeting for all types of cars it is a really fun day highly recommended. Do check out the Prescott calendar for 2016. Best wishes.

what a nice job they have done, I am also thinking of going this way but without supercharger, if you don't mind since this has been done apart from the supercharger have there been any problems with the fuel injection, is it once done no need to touch, your comments would be greatfull before I speak to the team, thanks templar

Hi Sunil, The Omex fuel injection has worked faultlessly highly recommended. Do speak to Enginuity as they can help you with the technical stuff. Best regards Ian

Wish my standard '75 auto went like that. Written off by a sleeping driver, unfortunately. but an SC and a manual box or a modern auto would have been nice. Might buy another one soon and up the specs, but they are getting a bit thin on the ground here in Oz.

Hi there, i am looking at getting a triumph stag and then putting in a 4.6 -5.2L V8 engine, i would also like to supercharge it as well. Can you give me some tips or advice? i.e should it be a rover V8 etc. If you want to email me its [email protected] cheers
@nagracdc11 жыл бұрын
Hi Alan, There are no carbs as it is a full sequential fuel injected system. The Stag has a twin throttle body for the air intake to the supercharger. Hope this answers your question. enginuity.co.uk

Hi Harry, The white Stag is well sorted, yes it has the Rover 4 litre V8 not sure what gearbox it uses. He also has two lightweight bucket seats to reduce weight and massive Wilwood brakes so he can brake very late into the corners and yes! he is very difficult to catch. All the best
@genmaxpain7 жыл бұрын
nice car i was wondering what diff are you running is it a lsd/phantom grip?
@nagracdc12 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, This is the original 3 litre TV8 engine, before the charger was fitted it was pushing out 121 bhp now it gives 220. This year I might change the pulleys on the charger and have it re-mapped to bring it up to 255 bhp!!! All the best

Hi, great stag, how much power does the supercharger give you?
@HarryHunterx12 жыл бұрын
Hi there again, those 2 Stags are awfully quick and do sound brilliant indeed. But do they both feature the original Triumph 3.0 L engine? I know yours did and was supercharged but what about the white one? Or is the white one equipped with the alltime weapon Rover V8 and a more modern 5 sped gearbox? That would explain to me, why he plays so easily around the track. Regards from Germany Harry

Hi Harry, It's just a basic Fujifilm camera mounted on the T-bar underneath. The vents are to help dissipate the extra heat from the charger. New videos coming this weekend and thank you for your kind comments. All the best Ian

Hello Nagracdc, Very nice new videos. * Did you use one of these new GoPro Cameras? I just tried to film a local rallye, with the whole family onboard (so the roof had to be up) * Do the vents help getting temp out of the engine bay? Please do Keep them coming. Regards Harry

I agree entirely, i was just saying in a nutshell, but it's all very true, plus the government at the time had something to do with it, so many things could have been done better. and i agree the BL engineers were onto something with many of their cars and they did save many car marquees like triumph. Born in England, suffered the aftermath of it aha, but my grandmother worked at a ford plant in london, she was on strike for most of her working life :/
@984francis12 жыл бұрын
I don't think the fault can be entirely laid at the feet of BL, it was a combined lack of the will to succeed on the part of both the unions and the management. It was a time when manufacturing was considered second class and certainly beneath the dignity of "professional" types and engineers were (and still are) thought of as the man who comes to fix your washing machine. Yet, the BL design teams did both excellent and ground breaking work. By the way, I was born in England into this era.
@NegrOnomikalG12 жыл бұрын
I agree, such a beautiful design, Michelotti wasn't done justice, eventually British Leyland managed to disintegrate the reputation of many great British marquees and aided in the demise of the British Automotive Industry. Sad Really.
@nagracdc12 жыл бұрын
Yes the V8 Stag engine is standard, the vents are there just to assist a bit of extra cooling as the supercharger adds more heat.
@Auto-TaT12 жыл бұрын
Nice video, is the engine standard? Can't remember Stags having bonnet vents
