Thank you for sharing! This is the only production I can find where everyone can sing. (And so strongly too!) The choreo, music and set are also pretty darn solid.

my director told us to think of Solla Sollew as a far away place that nothing ever bad would happen, almost like heaven. He told me this days after my grandfather had passed. When I was little we used to have our own little world. nothing bad could happen and there was all of the Dr. Seuss charcters there too. So in the middle of singing this so I started to cry and bawl my eyes out. This will forever be my favorite song in the entire world.

2 minutes in and Melchior's voice makes me feel alive... No but seriously, this is an incredible staging and performance in general. I'm currently in a production of this which opens in (checks watch) a little under 4 hours, and this was the perfect thing to get me hyped. I want to be all of them when I grow up :D

Also, they were using the Suessical Jr. Version which has Jojo starting the show. Instead of The cat.

Ken Simmons Seussical was extensively rewritten after its flop of a Bway run. This version is the successful revision that went on tour across the US and is now licensed as Seussical the Musical (i.e. if you want to legally do the whole show you have to do this version). This isn’t the Jr version - that version has a different key. This recording could be from the TYA version though, the TYA version of this song is identical to the full version.
