As in return on investment waiting is te better option. Also depends… if you say 50 days till it arrives, is the busy period done by then or not. If it’s over than the only benefit is having it as a spare and having it ready to go if things do pick up earlier for example. On the other hand side. But when you have it then you can ofc prep it and have it ready and completely dialed in for march and you have te ease of mind that IF something big comes in you can get it done…

As one of your customers AND as a graphic apparel business owner, I have two separate opinions about buying a printer from China. Selfishly, I would want you to get a printer now for faster turn around. However, as a business owner, I would advise waiting until February and time it with the busy season, giving yourself time to calibrate and test. I love the work you guys do. Salamat! Now maybe with my next order I can get Lumpia?? 😂

The library has all of the top pc's, macs, and adobe pro software packages. They may have a craft dept. They do at my library in DC. I would buy a TBthumb drive to use until I can upgrade. Your limited with time so get use to working from your phone with AI apps and Google Drive.

Did you find somone to learn from to work on your printers or are you just self taught from printing for 3 yrs? I been going for a little over a year and I’ve learned some things felt like I knew it all when I had my 13” I upgraded 24” i3200 and if something is going wrong smh I’ll be down and out almost no clue I have tech support there over seas so I’ll be on night shift for a few days to get things straightened out it’s hard to pick up to much from them although I’m sure I have learned a lot. You seem to be a full blown technician is why I ask.. thanks love the vids
@merchstudio11 күн бұрын
I had to learn everything from scratch through trial and error. It was costly because I started my dtf in 2021 when there wasn’t a lot of info on the internet about it

Great video. Was probably a little bit more than I set out to learn but still watch the whole thing anyway because it's something I didn't know a lot about. So I've got an interesting question. What if you were interested in this as a hobby/craft? Meaning, I know that for some simple screen printing the setup can be reasonable if you have the money of course. I'm just thinking with a lot of the other options other than the thick vinyl which I'll never do. It's almost as if you have to approach these companies with a larger quantity than just a new idea once a month or so. I mean sure I can just go on Etsy amd order one offs, but its not the same to me. Being able to imagine, design, than actually craft my own shirts would be awesome. I've got way too much else going on to do this as a side hustle even but I've always wanted to be able to do this. I was told by someone in a similar skill set as your own. That screen printing actually would probably be more what I'm after because of this fact. Again, I understand space requirements and all of that, but That's not an issue for me. I like working with my hands and designs so having someone else print something out for me that I just transfer to a shirt with heat seems unauthentic. Anyway, thanks again for the education!

Embroidery is never considered screen printing. In order to have the screen print term, the transfer time has to be fast.

The easiest? DTF for sure. Then comes the DTG, Heat press vinyl, Sublimation, Polyflex (glow in the dark), flocking. Plastisol and Discharge are the hardest and oldest screen print method.
