Hello greetings, I want to change my complete door for another one they crashed and I will replace it, some advice I am a little afraid to change it
@GMac277610 ай бұрын
To counter this on the bottom screws stick a couple of washers behind the metal bracket, this will mean the prongs point up slightly and will level out once you add the shelf.

Mine have the rod install system. Never have an issue with any of them. Have all 3 sizes, various things on them. Not books or really heavy stuff. That can't be put on any true floating shelves. I love mine, zero complaints

First of, these products were designed with the north/west European market in mind, where most housing is concrete, brick or something else solid. They won't sag in concrete (I know you are using drywall studs to mount them on) if you mount them with at least 5 screws. Best is to fill as much holes as you want if you don't want sag at all and they need to be really tight to the wall. For this reason alone, I would never recommend these type of floating shelves on drywall, they're not safe and they are often mounted incorrectly. Also from the looks of it, those bigger potted candles weigh more than 1 pound, more like 1 kg. Finally if you have just 4 screws in 2 studs, the bracket is going to flex in the middle and cause the sagging in the front (meaning it's not secured tight enough to the wall). You really need to retain the middle screws in the wall as well to have best results. In drywall and wood they will eventually sag more than in concrete (something to take in mind with floating shelves). Best is using the top holes and putting 1 screw on either side of each beam. then the bottom hole for the middle one (or just top and bottom in the middle). This will help even out the weight stresses in the wall and retains the bracket to the wall a lot better making it a lot more sturdy and less prone to sag due to gravity. Really the more screws you use on these shelves, the less likely they are going to sag. You really need to make sure the middle section is also retained to the wall tightly. Because it's really difficult to securely tight these to drywall (without causing damage), I wouldn't recommend these for drywall at all.
@chuckmate2 жыл бұрын
It's not the drywall that's the problem, it's the design of the metal bracket holding the shelf...the bracket is quite secure on the drywall if you make sure the screws are in the studs behind the drywall. It's poorly designed period.

Just to add, I bought 2 43" LACK shelves a couple of weeks ago that use the two rod system. Installed them on one stud and used anchors. I have Funko Pops on there, but it sagged before I even put them on there. I just bought some small L-brackets that I hope will reinforce it, but I'm doubting it.

At the time of this video. It went from stock headers to Cat to that exhaust. No resonator in between. My car never had one. Currently I deleted the cat it’s much louder now more like a muscle car so I may have to add a resonator to it but overall I was happy with the exhaust.

Try getting some shims from Home Depot I've heard that may work. Basically stick it inside or under where the metal lip goes into the groove of the back side of the shelf.

@jimjones94913 жыл бұрын
I brought these yesterday and same problem, shelf isn't flush against the wall and there's 2-3mm of play. I turned the shelf upside down, (kept the brackets as is, didnt want to take off after screwing to wall) slid it back onto the brackets and held it against the wall. Used a 2.5mm metal drill and drilled through pre-made screw holes to make a mark on the bracket tubes, removed shelf then drilled holes where the marks on tubes were made. Put shelf back on and used the two screws provided, screw in and once they hit the holes in the tubes they pull in tight. The shelf is very firm with no play although it still isn't perfectly against the wall at the top (wife says it's fine :-))
@dereklewinson30183 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with the video poster! I just bought three of these shelves (two separate purchases). Two came with the "post" mount, one came with the L-mount. I took the single L-mount shelf, put on a few books and...yup...sags like heck :( I want to return it but the store is not closer so I think I may have to just get a few shims from Home depot or a couple brackets.
@max91326283 жыл бұрын
I heard the shims does help
@max91326283 жыл бұрын
Using shims does seem to work, its not perfect but it keeps it from moving up and down, again be mindful that the metal bracket has its limits.
@jdavis35123 жыл бұрын
I held the shelves in a slightly upward slant as I screwed it into the bracket super tight, it reduced the sagging a bit and was level. But its still not the best shelf. Here's a good video if u want to see what these are made of. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6KwZZd_Zcuii9k

I found the fix. Now the sagging on my LACKs are gone. The real issue was the mounting bracket didn't secure correctly on the wall. We have to use good wall anchors/screws from Home Depot and make sure you install at least 5 or more screws on one LACK Metal Bracket, so it won't shake. And these screws needs to be installed on the TOP Holes of the brackets and if possible All around the 02 mounting rods. I wish I can attach the photo from mine is here. @Everyone: If you follow my above instruction, the LACKS will work with a minimal issue. Now I can place 40 lbs load on the shelves without obvious sagging.

Theres a way to fix it you drill a nail at the end of the rod closest towards you just make sure it does not come out the bottom end and leans out just a little bit at the top and then slide the shelf into the rod its kinda ghetto but it worked fine...

@@explicitchicken1677 Yonaka catback 100%, if you want a quiet tone you'd need to install a different resonator, if you want to add rasp or rumble then go with an aftermarket header. Stick with the 2.5in piping to 4in tip and you'll have the deep tone without losing power.
