Men have testosterone, women have estrogen. These chemicals have different effects on our brains. If masculinity is toxic, then so is femininity; the difference is that women are the ones constantly labeling men negatively while men (desperately) want to be liked by women, so men capitulate in an attempt to be liked, but women don't respect men that capitulate so they keep pushing men until those men finally stand up to them. Rather, men think analytically and determine a sound hierarchy of valuation and such determinations may place the value of one's life below the protection of many loved ones. 78 year old 'toxic' man here. Yeah it did start in the 60's. I would say it had a lot to do with an explosion in college/university enrollments then... it was the trendy thing to do... if you didn't go you were somehow 'unworthy'. A high percentage of those kids straight out of high school, especially the women, got a liberal arts degree. Virtually useless for anything except for teaching. Most of them became k-12 teachers, with their semi-Marxist education indoctrination thoroughly contaminating future generations. Remember this was the anti-war, Che Guevara era, also with the simultaneous rise in militant feminism adding to the toxic stew. Now, after many decades of average boys being continually marinated in this pink, molasses-like female 'feelings' think goo... even from their mothers and probably nearly all of their education, it is not hard to see how you end up with gender confused, or just generally confused and very fk'ed up boys.

At lot of the emerging behaviours in modern society is confusion over attraction vs possession (attraction to the opposite gender vs wanting to be the opposite gender) amplified by innate evolutionary disgust responses (men are naturally disgusted by other men as a means of protecting their resources and se*ual access, traumatic experiences, the aggressive anti-male push and the exhalation of the feminine in the media, and the increasingly restricted male access to opportunity.
