I’d probably sell anything with those milkspots and take the profits. Seemingly the new stuff doesn’t have that issue. Technically you can get those milkspots off by cleaning them which might be ok for the bullion

I think a lot of silver stackers have quit in the last 13 years because the price of silver just won't go up. Gold and Bitcoin, on the other hand, have risen nicely over the past 13 years. So whether you should sell silver depends on whether you want to wait for silver to rise. Personally, I would sell some silver and buy some gold and leave some silver as well.
@Irishsilverstack12 күн бұрын
Well said. I think as well some may have had money issues and had to sell at a loss

You can ask whatever you want but asking and getting are two different things. I am based in Dublin and bought around 80 ounces recently, average price was around €31.50 per oz. You might sell the odd coin at €35 but I’d imagine it would take a really long time to get rid of it all. Do you really want the hassle of selling one coin at a time - I wouldn’t. I’d say you should hold onto it. You are right though - hard to say what’s gonna happen after 20/01/25.

The fear is obviously "Should have at 34.50, it's around 30 and I don't want it to go down MORE" right? COMEX says November is a down month, December is up. New folks have a cost avg around 30. Possible Biden, Harris pumped prices, Trump's win cooled prices; right? Trumps econ plan, do you think it will dent inflation or national debt or CPI? You know the factors I'm sure, just maybe let me remind you of one you might forgotten. Nuclear Futures impact. Batteries impact. Supply excess or deficit? Only do a Dump All on a peak not a valley - I'd wait. 1 month minimum.

Yeah, if you think Silver is an "investment" in the sense of one that is supposed to provide you a guaranteed material return, you should sell it immediately and never buy it again. Silver is money, and it's only an "investment" in the sense of a place to park or hold your wealth or purchasing power over very long periods of time (i.e. 30 to 50 year time-frames). Anyone trying to buy and sell in to and out of the Silver market doesn't understand the metals or what they actually possess. It is money by nature and money in a practical sense in sound money environments. It is monetary wealth insurance in unsound money environments like we have today, and it remains a decent hedge against inflation, so long as you're thinking in 30 to 50 year time-frames. Anything less than that, and it will be increasingly hit or miss as to how well it does things like hedge inflation. Incidentally, Silver is simply the change maker for Gold, so Gold is actually the superior money and the superior monetary wealth insurance. The WSDC or Wealth Storage Density Capacity of both metals makes them worth holding in the long-term, but Gold's WSDC will always be better, as it is a more perfect exemplification of the nature of money. I would only sell out of part of my Silver for emergencies, and I would try to insulate my core position in Silver with cash and smaller stacks of metal that I was more willing to sell off. I would try to avoid equivocating on the word "Investment" and decide whether I understood much about the metals or not by coming to a conclusion about just what kind of investment they are. Definition #1 - a mere commodity purchased that is expected to provide you some material return in the short to medium term OR Definition #2 - Money and/or monetary wealth insurance that is meant to preserve your purchasing power over very long periods of time. Based upon which one I landed on, I'd sell out completely or try to find ways to avoid selling unless or until it became absolutely necessary to the basic maintenance of your life and existence. Enjoy! 🤣😂 Incidentally, if you want Silver to be an investment, I suggest that you buy Silver art pieces or genuine high cost numismatic coins. That kind of Silver can be legitimately termed an investment by the first definition. Silver will go down, and it will also go up. It is impossible for it not to go up in terms of fiat currencies that, by their nature, must devalue over time. Right now, every single currency on the planet is a fiat currency, so Silver will necessarily rise over time. All fiat currencies eventually fail though, so as fiat currencies around the world collapse in the coming decades (however long it takes), Silver will rise in relation to that. It will do so in nominal terms and in real terms, though no one can say how much or to what degree its actual purchasing power will increase. It may only increase slightly, but it's also possible that it will increase dramatically, particularly if a different tack is taken related to money and fiat currencies. A few principles - Don't trust governments. Don't trust fiat currencies backed by governments. Don't have all of your wealth denominated in weightless US dollars, British pounds, or EU eruos. Always keep a significant amount of purchasing power outside of and fiat fractional reserve banking system in something real like the non-liability natural money of Gold & Silver.
@Irishsilverstack2 ай бұрын
I mean its true what you say some great points. i do feel it only holds your wealth or purchasing power at certain times with in the timeline
@veritasfiles2 ай бұрын
@@Irishsilverstack You're correct. If you're speaking about time-frames under 30 years, it's much more hit or miss, as to whether you will have greater or lesser protection from inflation. That's why I say anyone thinking about that aspect of Silver needs to be thinking in 30 to 50 year time-frames. If you're stacking and you're alread 60 or 70 years old, then hopefully hedging inflation isn't the highest priority for you because you won't have any guarantees of that in a 3, 5, or even 15 year time-frame.
