@@upasaka259 you can’t not since this year. You can only buy in the country of residence. New EU law. I just buy on holidays in the airport. I would buy in Ireland as it’s to expensive

Excuse my ignorance but what is a replacement note ? It was in the late 80’s when I first visited Ireland,I could well have handed one of those notes over the bar,I wish I’d have kept some,it’s a beautiful design😍

@@Pureblood10000 hey, a replacement note was a series of note that replaced damaged notes that were known to the revenue. They have a different serial number. Like MMM or NNN for example

The thing that worries me about these new wave of art coins is are they really a limited mintage ? The technology I assume is all computer generated so it wouldn’t take much to get them back in production again ? I don’t honestly know how it all works.I personally don’t think a cashless society is inevitable,why I don’t think it’ll work is because it will encourage bartering again and the taxman wouldn’t want that,I think they’re WILL be a hybrid system where certain transactions will likely be made via a CBDC🤔

@@Irishsilverstack tbh your probably correct about coins being gone from circulation,I think inflation will probably head into hyperinflation and a £2 coin,which is the highest denomination coin here in the UK,will be next to worthless so why bother to keep them🤔

Hey, good to hear from you. Well, there's no bullion store in Ireland to my knowledge, at least a good one any way. I would just save and by once a year, and use the big places, like the European mint and Celtic gold.

The cost of postage from these guys is mad. Stay away unless your ordering in bulk upwards of thousands of Euro.

The 1939 in the flip is somewhere between XF and AU, in my personal opinion. The Harp-side (reverse) is in better condition than the obverse, however the fields on the obverse are well-scuffed. Probably around £20-£25. £30 including buyer's premium, perhaps more if slabbed.

The watermark is a big give away and also the smell. There aren’t many of these counterfeited and they are not that popular.
