Hi Ysza, congratulations! ^_^ In my view, audit/assurance/advisory has equal chances. What makes you marketable to be taken abroad is being "different" from the rest. I recommend going into a company with a lot of international affiliates din. If kaya, BIG 4. For me, I think the reason why I got a job abroad din is because I tried to be different. I really try to operate 2 levels beyond my role (i.e. I was a junior pero I worked like an AM). I also didn't let external situations get to me but I do my best out of any circumstance and get things done. Opportunities will come once your quality of work is high. By God's grace naman I got an offer. =) Kaya mo din yan! just do ur best.

Yes I am still im Big 4. Solid experience. Learnt a lot and I think super marketable na ng cv after nearly 3 years. 🙂

@@lyle6699 no problem. Sa audit as far as I know yes but dapat BSA ka. Altho, I think better try sa advisory instead of audit if you already havr accounting experience.

Hello, welcome back. I wouldn't change anything in my view since I passed with 83.83% already. I did my best during that time with the resources I have and it was sufficient for me to pass and be a good CPA currently. If there is something I'd do before that is different it would be to enjoy college life. Passing the CPALE is sufficient regardless of your grade. In the long run, the relationships you build and your capacity to maintain them matters more than any examination.

This is perhaps the best question I got from this channel! Well, as per my PhD from before, she said that debit and credit simply meant left (debit) and right (credit). In my view though, there is a logical reasony why Asset, Expense, and Drawings are on the Debit side and Liability, Equity, and Income are on the credit. In my personal view, you can view that a debit depicts an Asset while credit depicts Liabilities and Equity. So bakit kasama ang expense and drawings sa asset if technically they decrease asset itself? Simply because of the logic of double entries. Imagine, an expense paid with cash, you will have: Debit: Expense Credit: Cash (Asset) If gagawin mong credit ung normal balance ng expense, double entries would be meaningless. So more on mathematical siya. But I have another way to go about this but it will be too technical and super complicated. So I rather explain the mathematical for now. Again, good question. Keep asking questions like this and you will be successful not just in the boards but also in life.

For example, if pinagaaralan niyo consolidation, hanap ka ng IFRS guidance from Big 4 publications and basahin mo yung recommendations nila. Slr. Normal mabilis makalimot if hindi interesting or mababaw ung understanding sa topic. Kaya napakaimportant ng self study and finding real life applications ng inaral. Also, test yourself sa concept by asking ung treatment on "what if" questions. You know ur stuff if kaya mo ituro din ito sa ibang tao. So try to teach others ung concepts din. Kaya mo yan!

Not necessarily. Someone offered an audit job to me in the Middle East recently for a big company and the requirement is to be a CPA.

My friends/acquaintances did it but yes it's very difficult. Usually mga top notch students with good educational background and internships. They also don't belong to any of the companies you mentioned. Definitely not accounting roles but more on niche consultancy or managerial levels sa MNCs.
