In all honesty its unlikely. There are hitches that dont suggest it be lowered, but I found it makes it easier on me and my Torque wrench to go ahead and do so. If you support the exhaust with a strap, use soapy water or wd-40 as a lubricant and a screw driver you will be pleasently surprised at how easy it is. Fully support the exhaust pipe with the strap and after the Rubber Isolaters are removed from 1 Metal post Each, you can loosen the strap a little at a time to lower the Exhaust. You Got This!

Usually the car must be running for the Computer to send Turn signals to the taillights. Runnung lights and the power wire may be active all the time. I would suggest starting the car before testing and shutting it off before any wiring work begins.

Trailers are on a 2 wire system. The Convertor box will convert your vehicles 3 wire system (separate brake signal) to a 2 wire system for the trailer (left turn/stop and right turn/stop. Meaning the left turn indicator and left stop light signal are on your yellow output wire, and your right turn indicator and right stop light are on your green output wire. Yellow or green output wires will flash for turn signals, and be a solid and brighter illumination when brakes are applied with turn signals off. Basically your trailer uses 1 light bulb for the turn and stop light. This is provided your vehicle is a 3 wire system and the red wire is connected correctly. Visit your nearest local U-Haul Hitch center to schedule troubleshooting with your local hitch pro.

The wire harness for The outback and many other models of subaru are the same part. Where the adapter is located varies based on model and year. CMF56040 will fit your Outback and the adapter is under the rear scuff panel on the passenger side. Watch my crosstrek video from 0:37 to 1:25 but look on the passenger side for the adapter taped up with pink tape. Yes these parts fit the 2025's, I have just have not updated the thumbnail and info to include 2025. You Got this!

The Hitch installed on this Kia Niro is rated to 2,000 lbs. So you would be qualified to pull any trailer under 2,000 lbs. The amount of cargo weight is subject to the weight of the trailer you choose. Many Uhaul trailers are under 1000 lbs.

I stand corrected. On my 2017 Niro, I have the CURT 13329 installed, which has a max rating of 3,500 lbs. According to UHAUL website, I am able to pull most of their trailers with up to about 1,700 lbs of cargo, depending on which trailer. So I suppose I stand corrected then. Thank you for pointing this out.

I have seen this on some other models of hitches sold for this vehicle but not the Curt 13397. This seemed to affect the Hybrid models on those other brands. The Curt does list for the Hybrid and Gas models from 2017-2025 and that's been our experience as well.

....and finally brute force prevails. That dust cover did not want to come off. So, if yours is difficult to take off....hang in there and keep pulling. 2020 Chevy Blazer. I did appreciate the video, Especially directing me to the right part, the folks at the U-Haul store were grateful too.

Thats Why I made the Acadia Video. Im all about the 7-way connecter on vehicles like this and some Hondas where the Tow package is set up for 7 functionalities from the start. Why only install 4. 👍

The Hitch and directions in this video apply to the 1996 thru 2007 Town and country and the 1996 thru 2007 Dodge Caravan. The Hitch Bolts to the Frame, Not the Body. 👍

If you mean the heat shield, then Yes! At 13:09 Peter uses the Hitch as a template to punch a hole thru the heat shield and enlarge it with needle nose pliers until the hardware passes thru.

I just entered the info on the U-Haul website for towing a 2020. Neither the tow dolly or Auto Transport trailer show this vehicle as being compatible. I had previously entered my 2012 Grand Caravan as I'm looking at buying a capable full size van out of state and need to get them both back without having to have an extra driver. Once the website showed "The Tow Dolly is not recommended for this towing combination." I played with the towing vehicle to be sure that wasn't the problem. Even an F-350 showed it as not being recommended. I changed the vehicle being towed to my 1999 Dakota 4wd and there was no problem. Next I changed the whole setup to towing with a 10' U-Haul truck and towing my 2012 Grand Caravan on the dolly. It was approved. The Auto Transport was approved when I moved up to a 15' U-Haul truck. There is no reason these should be approved when an F-350 is not.

The system bases the hookup on several factors including the trailers weight, weight of the vehicle being loaded and the Towing Vehicle's Hitch system ratings that you input. I can see an advisory for a Low clearance Loading with the Grand Caravan on the Auto Transport and a Good Hookup for the Tow Dolly, Based on the 2017 Ford F350 super duty 2dr short bed 4x4 regular cab 6.2 l v-8. I have to assume you accidentaly input an incorrect value with your Hitch System, or the Ball and Mount you are using is underated and not recommended for use with our Auto Transport. The system asks you for your Vehicles Hitch Rating. This can be found on a Sticker on the Hitch or in your owners manual. Any component in the Hitch system Rated under 7000 lbs will not pass the Auto Transport towing combination! Our system has the values for our trucks pre filled out and I see a Good Hookup with a 10' Truck(6k tow capacity) and a Tow dolly. And a Good Hookup for a 15' Truck(7.5k or 10k tow capacity based on year) with the Auto Transport!

This Hitch is no longer manufactured. Its a Draw-tite Hitch and its Number is 24701. Curt also discontinued maunufacturing of its hitch # 11039. However, Uhaul has the curt hitch as part # 24678. And there may be one at Uhaul of Elysian Field in Nashville, TN 37211

The manufacturer of the hitch says it fits all 2021-2024 Mustang Mach-E's regardless of trim, but does not mention anything different about the installation. Are you observing something on your vehicle blocking the frame where we mount the hitch?

@ no I just noticed that one piece you removed is not under the rally mach e it has a skid plate covering the back motor and it looks like it is part of the diffuser

Yes, The Hitch is designed to Fit around the spare tire despite ours not having one. You will lower the spare tire for Installation and then return it when finished. Be sure to note which side is UP on the tire, it can affect a proper fitment if it's flipped upside down.

The installation is the same except your battery is in the rear passenger trim cutout. making it even easier. So, connect your black power wire and fuse holder to your Positive battery terminal and follow all our other steps! You got this!

Yes they are Durable. A Uhaul purchased Hitch, installed by a Uhaul hitch professional has the option of a lifetime warranty for $5. I recently did my 4th Hitch install for the Same customer over 3 years. It started with me "warranty replacing" one on a For Explorer that had been slightly damaged in an Auto accident. And due to the minor nature of the accident only the hitch and minor plastic parts were damaged and a new one fit perfectly as it should. That was install #2. Which they sold for Vehicle 3 with the Hitch functional. #4 was lieterally yesterday on a 21 Porsche Cayenne. Video Coming Soon! Uhaul Is #1 in Hitch Installations!

Dec 2024: we finally decided we need to tow a trailer, so I finally added the Curt 56338 harness using this video. It went great, with just one problem - I couldn't pry the panel open as far as this video showed without also removing the car jack and the cargo tray next to the jack. That tray pops up just like the one on the left side, with three tabs on the bottom. Other than this, everything he teaches in the video is perfect! Thanks for preparing this for us!😃
