Without the Hobbits, Galadriel would never have been tested by Frodo offering her the ring and might not have been allowed to go West over the seas. The Ents would not have been roused and destroyed the Isengard orcs and Saruman's power base at Orthanc, resulting in the destruction of Rohan. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli would not have had a reason to go to the edge of Fangorn where they met Gandalf. They would probably have gone straight to Gondor with Boromir and not taken the Paths of the Dead so the Corsairs would have destroyed much of Gondor's coastal population. Would Gandalf have even gone to Rohan and freed King Theoden from the control of Saruman?

meh some people should keep their whining about this to themselves. Writers and actors do their best to continue some of the storyline as Tolken is not with us anymore. If you dont like it dont act like yiur opinion needs to be heard as does not. I was happy to watch some new art even adjacent tobthe Canon. I enjoyed the Rings of power myself and comend the writers and actors for trying. The vitrol put out ia horrible and not needed. If you dont like it dont watch it. Go whine elsewhere in private.

‘It is said that the skill of the Dwarves is in their hands rather than in their tongues,’ she said; ‘yet that is not true of Gimli. sorry if you have read Tolkin then you would know Tulkas and any Valar would not intervene because the war of the ring was a middle earth made and had never been near the land of the Valar,the Valar went to war in the first age of middle earth to bring Morgth back to valair and to retreive the Silmarillion that Feanor made from the first light

Excellent watch, thank you!
@jurgenolivieira18789 күн бұрын
One important thing maybe... is that the Hobbits actually failed tom destroy the ring. Frodo could not do it, but was by shear accident that it was destroyed with Gollum holding it. Perhaps that was always the only way (as it perhaps was always Gollum role to do so). The fellowship did ensure the ring was inside the mountain, the only place where it could be "unmade".
@jurgenolivieira18789 күн бұрын
I like the idea of Tulkas getting the ring... that is a very interesting concept!
@jurgenolivieira18789 күн бұрын
Lol, Tulkas destroyed a continent when he fought against Melkor... he latterly changed the face of Arda. I don't think Sauron would be any match for him at the state he was in even with the ring. It's like throwing an Ant Eater in an ant farm. He would be danger for weak beings like humans or Hobbits for accidental harm. By his presence alone.

If they had joined, by the lore, Eru Iluvatar would most likely have stepped in right away. Most likely would have destroyed the universe, wiping the slate clean and maybe, hopefully started creation all over again. Which makes for a very bad story. We would be robbed of the masterpiece which is J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and all of the rest of the lore of Middleearth.

If Boromir had survived, it would’ve been the happiest possible ending for LotR. Would’ve loved to see him give Denethor a thorough chewing out after returning to Gondor with Aragorn, for everyone and especially Faramir’s sake. It’s a shame how Faramir had to endure such tragedy since he loved both of them despite Denethor’s coldness. Boromir also has the single greatest redeeming act in the history of redeeming acts. It’s a necessary development and ending for his kind of character, and Tolkien knew this. I would say even the greatest heroes of his story only get a bittersweet ending at best. Righteous and bittersweet. Those who weren’t taken by the battles surely took some of those battles home they’ll likely never escape one way or another, such as Frodo and his departure to the undying lands. Boromir surviving would’ve made LotR too fairy tale, as much as I love his character. Boromir’s sacrifice shows the grit and rawness of Middle Earth. He’s such a real, dynamic character. It’s hard to say I’d want it any other way than Tolkien’s way

@@EnchantedBasement Fuck no rings of power was garbage. However the trilogy is a very hard act to follow. Fall of gondolin + Beren&Luthien have a lot of potential for cinematic adaptation.
