There are a few disappointments in this device: 1. The current settings do not allow you to select a step of 1 mA. 2. All USB ports are inverted. 3. There is no LED indication of turning on the output. 4. Hieroglyphic inscriptions are annoying.

The Aifen 9E is cheap e-waste. Upon getting this item it failed right out of the box. Trying to get help has been a nightmare from Aliexpress. I'm glad some people have had good times with the Plus and Pro models however that has not been my experience. I got this for Christmas and with shipping it's very difficult to return. My advice is for people is to save your money. I hope this post saves someone from the same Drama.

I must admit Aliexpress did eventually do right by me. I cannot preclude the possibility that it was bad luck and I got a dodgy one of the production line, however trying to get info and communication to ask technical questions was impossible. As I type this I cannot be certain because I obviously couldn't pull it apart to examine it due to warranty returns. From what I could gather the extra wattage of the 9E model at 160 watts versus 120 watts with the standard model put to much strain on the output stage and it went short short. The unit would not regulate up or down and was either zero or full temperature. I barely got to even try it. Considering I've seen KZbin videos where they've done much more strenuous soldering on coins with only the 120 watts with the Pro model the 9E rated for 160 watts should have easily been able to solder a 1/4 watt resistor. Hardly heavy use. That's why I feel compelled to warn people.

There is no such thing in this model, the current adjustment step is -10 mA. This is a disadvantage of this device

We had Sugon 86200x and It just stopped blowing air, so it caused overheat and burned it's plastic.. My machine destroyed itself in a seconds... There was Error Code on display but when I tried to put the fire out I wa already late.

Geat but a few issues to fix first. My order arrived with an Australia mains cable which had the wall plug cable angled up not down! No problems these things happen... The final assemply department also incorrectly wired the mains Active and Neutral reversed from the back of the IEC panel mount connector. The error I uncovered was the output of the IEC fuse was not looped to the switch below, but was connected directly to the PSU with the black Neutral wire looped through the switch. Our local electrical safety regulator would have rejected this configuration. It took about 30 minites to rewire all the connectlions correctly i.e. the fuse outlet directly to the switch. I also needed to sperate out the mains 240V AC wiring from the 24VDC wires! It is unacceptable and poor practice to strap the single insulated mains wiring with the 24V DC wiring. I also check the soldering iron tip earth, the mains earth is soldered to the main control board with a lighter gauge than I was expecting (less than 1 -1.5mm2), with a very small 4.7ohm 0.125W resistor connecting to the PCB ground and iron tip. This practise is non-conforming and needs to be fixed. Otherwise the feature packed unit works extramely well so far.
