Thanks for his service. I worked with two great guys and a gal from Sweden. We were there on the police mission for the UN. Roger Ostegren, Patrick (I can remember his last name) and Mary Ann Nibeck (spelling unknown) . I have them in my other video here on KZbin of Kosovo. We ate at the Swebat chow hall on occasions. Great food. I fondly remember the Swedish meatballs and reindeer. I hope all is well with your dad. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

With everything that goes on in the world I think a lot about my life and other people's lives and I wonder that guy was twice the man and soldier I was at a much younger age than me. If he had still been with us today could you imagine the bright future this young man could of had in the services. And for some reason god decides to leave a no good person like myself here and take away one of the best people he has ever created........ And it makes me think why would he do such a thing. Then I have to remind myself that he did it once before that he gave his only begotten son to die for us and our sins. And he probably needed an extra angel in heaven you are missed my brother but not forgotten.

What does this "kirieleysum" in the beginning mean? Sorry, I know this is not how it is written but it sounds this way. Also, what is the proper procedure to greet an orthodox monk in the decani monastery in serbian language?
@MrSale1983
@MrSale1983 9 жыл бұрын
Teakwondo Chest "Kirie eleison" is in greek, and it means "Lord have mercy". In serbian is "Gospode pomiluj!" (Gospode/Kirie - Lord; pomiluj/eleison - have mercy). When you first meet if the monk is priest you ask him for a blessing, you say " Oče blagoslovi! " (č is pronounced ch like in rich, it means "father give me a blessing or bless me"). If he is a regular monk you shake hands with him as with any other man, you address him with father or brother. Usual orthodox greeting in serbian is "Pomaže Bog" (it means "May God help/guide you!"; ž is pronounced zh like in beige), response is "Bog ti pomogo!", which have same meaning! I hope I was helpful. :)

It means basically as form of "Amen" when they main priest sings, basically a confirmation by the lower ranks of priests, just like the crowd of people say 'Amen' after a line in the Bible. And to greet a Serbian Monk, you take his hand and kiss it and say 'Bog ti pomogao' (Boeg-tee-poemoegao). This means 'God help you, God bless you, God protect you'

Kyrie eleison (em grego: Κύριε ελέησον, transl.

+Vatican Bless Albania we all fought for for our lands but Serbs and Croats were the only ones that remained true to their religion and didn't convert no matter how many of us they killed. Albania was Christian just like us but they took in the influence from the Ottomans and converted. Serbs and Albanians fought together against the Ottomans

Even to this day, the pain always lingers. I remember being in Germany on the day this happened and we were receiving the wounded from the convoy. When I was told that Torre didn't make it, its just liked everything stopped. I still remember breaking down crying right there right in the middle of the ward and just mentally shutting down. He was a damn fine medic.
