So I built the deck for locals and end 1-2 (might have been 0-3 but opponent made big mistake) I got stomped by blue red twice so hopefully you play them soon so I can see what I did wrong lol 💜🩶

@@parttimecomix against BR you have to aggressively mulligan for 1 drops and hope to gas up as fast as possible. Resist Mickey is great against Tipo and locations can be annoying. It's not as much of a sure win as YP is against BR, but you're definitely the aggressor. If you the game goes past about turn 7 or 8, probably not winning unless it's off the top with multiple Goats.

@@parttimecomix also, the coming videos are using a silly Amber/Sapphire aggro build I saw and thought was interesting (from last Monday). It's bad. Fun, but super inconsistent. Those vids should be up as soon as I can edit. This coming Monday, I'm probably on Ruby Amethyst, because that's probably what I'm playing for set champs.

@@parttimecomix Yeah, processing it after the fact was interesting for sure. Although it was pointed out that the most critical mistake was way earlier when I had the choice to challenge into either Daisy or Ursula. I hit the Daisy, which was along wrong. He wasn't a meaningful lore threat yet, and that Ursula put in work. Plus, Daisy would have likely drawn me several cards.

Opp. did a misplay he should have atk with ursula into smee drop the rapunzel and then draw three. Smee would die if he quested or atk. next turn.On his following turn he could have sung let the storm rage on on his rapunzel and played rupanzel to where he would draw another three one from LETSRO and 2 from rapunzel. He would have an overwhelming hand size compared to yours.

Actually you won, bro. If you played Smash instead of Pete to smash the piglet, and then bounce a character back with Fox and take out an Ariel. He would've only gone up to 19. And on your turn you win because of Library.

I think this is the second time I've seen you go down to the wire 😂 You live and learn. I don't think there's anything you could've done past drawing into Gathering or Boss is on a Roll. Either one would've ended the game. I think at least 3 Grab your Sword and 2 Giant Tink are needed in this deck

@@parttimecomix I don't like Pascal because he's fragile. Honestly if I played again, I would likely remove entirely for something else (not sure what yet). Probably a straight trade for the two missing Canons, or adding some 1/3s. I just generally never felt like he was a good fit, unless I'm pairing with Crab for big Evasive challenges. Lawrence was great. A big body, hard to remove, quests aggressively, and can challenge into a lot of relevant things.

@@SnapquesterMage I found some success by going cindy turn 1. Then turn 2 go into aggro and use her to sing bare necessities ( hopefully rip the fishbone). This slows the ramp Enough for Your Aggro to do It’s work

Usually if you are searching for, or can only take a specific type of card, you have to reveal to opponent. Otherwise I could just take a character or location or whatever. Cards that allow you to take anything (like Vision of the Future) do not need to reveal, because you can take any card. Not just a card of a specific type!

@@Eladriel12 The "may" is there because there may be a song you see but don't want to reveal/put in hand. So you can choose to "fail to find" and put all 4 on bottom (even if you had a valid target to take). I don't know how often that would come up, but I could see it being relevant for example you already have AWNW in hand to play, and didn't want to lose it?

@@hungvan6326 He is really good. And specifically pretty good with Ruby Sapphire! I have a lot of residual experience with decades playing Magic, and playing a lot of OTHER decks in Lorcana. But specifically SteelSong always felt really hard to play optimally. Soooo many lines and options.... 🙃

Really like your deck - how does it hold up against discard? With the vanilla 1 drops as opposed to followers and broom (or other low cost draw mechanic cards) I'm curious how it fares against it. I'm fellow red purple as well, and I am going to test this deck build. Thanks!

@@tjjohnston4869 It's a trade off. I see a lot more SteelSong than I do discard, especially at locals, so I'm OK with taking that hit if it means making the most popular deck matchup a little better. This also plays a lower curve and is hoping to quest more aggressively. In the mirror, 1/3s are annoying for their 1/2s and 2/1s to deal with, and can quest fairly uninterrupted. I don't know if it's "the best" or "most correct" way of building, but I personally like it.

5:36: from a r/a player, I would suggest that you play castle this turn. That will put a pressure on opp to tap their minions so you can trade more effectively at your next turn. Anyway that was just my 2cent, brawl is also good choice

@@hungvan6326 That's good to know. I think I was just worried about the lasting effects of Rourke and the ability to bounce him to make stuff reckless. At that point I felt like I need to be the control, instead of Lore racing yet.

@@Icaaajai She (rightly) assumed I had a way to remove it anyway, and wanted to clear something off my board. Had she not done that, I could have quested exactly to 20 on my next turn (instead of 19), so for whatever reason, it was WAS her best outcome to ensure another turn.

@@Cabalwannabe Thank you! 🙃 Although, in all seriousness, I have found myself slightly changing the way I play when I am recording over the last months. Trying to make it more animated and more interesting. With the side effect that it's more fun and exciting for ME as well. 😅 But I think it has also refined my ability to think through "how would this play look if 1000 other people saw it too?" An interesting side effect... 🤔
