Tbh I think Manfred Von Karma taking in Miles is some kind of attempt to repent. He did blame a murder on Miles at the end, but I think that was more following the compulsion to "remain perfect" than to actually take revenge on Miles. At least that's what I like to think, because I bet that during the 15 years he almost had been Miles' guardian, he already had plenty of chances to bring up the DL 6 incident and frame Miles or take revenge on him by other ways. I'm not trying to justify what Manfred did, I just think it makes a lot more sense how he took in his rival's son and raised him for 15 years as his apprentice when we see it that way.

I think Malfred kept Miles, not only because he was worried that he remembered the truth😨, but also because he felt bad for what he did leaving an orphan child all alone and traumatized😞. When Malfred killed Gregory it wasn't only because he tarnished his good image, but also because of all of the pressure he was receiving for having an unbeatable record😖. This forces him to always be perfect Infront of others and not himself, leaving him with having difficulties expressing his real emotions even to close people like his family😐.

Ooh, I could see that as a possibility 👀 Although it doesn’t excuse him or make him any better for the murder, it could make for some interesting thoughts and feelings on Manfred’s side. In the end, no matter how much guilt he felt, he still chose his own life and image over Miles’ by trying to get him framed for murder. I like seeing the different HCs people come up with to explain that! 🙌
