Soak urad dal 2 cups & 1/4 cup rice for 5-6 hours then grind using little water add chopped ginger, fresh coriander, fresh coconut & green chilli then add salt & small suji, cumin mix it well batter is ready make vada as shown in the video and enjoy

Actually the original medhu vada should be soft. Not crispy. This is a wrong method adopted by Hotels. When at home we prepare it small flat and soft. That tastes true urad vada. I don't eat vada in restaurant because they re-fry it in oil and bring it burning hot. Better we enter normal restaurant in mangalore and get warm vada to enjoy with chutney.
