I am from Mexico and I was in Edmonton 30 years ago and I went to a Spoons concert. Since then I have this song in my mind. Thanks for this video...

@71dhb I know where the UN was during Rawandan genocides. France, a member of the UN, was supplying the Hutu Army with rifles, smg's, rpg's and a whole buttload of machetes. Then the UN said "Oh the horror, our hands are tied, why don't we give the order to help these people.....oh wait...it's over." The Tutsi's were the ruling class in Rawanda and they were removed by another ruling class. The same ruling class that founded and controls the UN.

I have this conspiracy that escalators break down so much because nature does not agree with laziness. Or escalator repairmen purposely leave them broken so they can stay in business.

@revokdaryl1 You're clearly the pessimist here. The 80's view of the future was like the 50's; misguided and ignorant, flashy and silly. I think the present and future are unbelievably exciting. I can't understand how its even possible to think for one second that the world isn't exciting and interesting. There is no explanation besides ignoring literally everything in the world. We've never known, seen, been able to do or feel so much.

Glen Royer here, just want to say that the Northern Pikes were THE band of the day hands down!!! they got signed on the strengh of their great live show and the catchy songs, case closed. They were and still are in my opinion one of the BEST bands to ever come out of Canada and for me personally ( and i am sure i speak for most if not all of the members of Greenhouse and New Concept) were an inspiration for our OWN live performances and songwriting back in the day.Thank you guys, your still #1

@kinglouie1968 You make a very good point. It seems like there was a certain optimism present in the 80's regarding the future that you just can't find anywhere today. From my point of view, as somewhat of a pessimist, the future for this world appears very bleak and dreadful. Let's face it, overpopulation may be the most threatening factor to our survival. And I agree with you 100% regarding the lameness of today. The present is very lame and I think the future holds more of the same.
