My grandma Kathleen Mcgoldrick was a frestonian!!! When she passed my mother had a meeting about the property with the community but she was denied even though she was a single mum of three. Nevertheless, lots of good memories there :)

Cool presentation. Fascinating and funny. Interesting to think buddha and Confucius were alive at the same time as pythagoras.

Here it is 2023 and I'm seeing this for the first time and I see that this was done in Nov. of 2018. First of all I want to tell you all that I am a Buddy Holly historian and I never have met Rachel and I had never heard of her until I saw this video. It always amazes me that even after all these years how little people know about that tour. Now being 2023 that's 64 years of still not knowing the real story about that tour. It says above that Rachel is giving a festinating account of that event. Well I have to tell you all that what she said was anything about the true story. There were so many things wrong in what she said, I lost count before her presentation was getting started. She seemed to me very nervous when she was talking also. Where she got her information from was beyond me. The picture she showed of Ritchie Valens with his girlfriend Donna was totally wrong. That was not Donna by any means. She did show pictures that were taken from different venues on the tour, she never explained where they were from, She showed pictures that were taken in England in 1958, what did they have to do with the Winter Dance Party in 1959???? I myself was standing only a few feet away from the three of them, when I saw the WDP in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Jan, 26, 1959, one week before the crash. I own 19 pictures from that night and they are world famous pictures. Rachel showed a picture of Buddy, Ritchie and the Bopper from Davenport, Iowa. There are no pictures of anybody from Davenport. The picture she showed is a photoshopped picture. I have put together a power point slide show of that tour, mine would blow hers out of the water hands down. She stated the tour started in Minneapolis, wrong!!! The tour started in Milwaukee on Jan 23, 1959. I could go on and on about this for days. Does anyone know how to get in touch with Rachel??? I'd love to talk to her and set here straight on the real story of that tour. I wrote a book all about the tour, I guess Rachel never read it, don't you think she should have???? You want to know anything about Buddy Holly, you can find me in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Rave On!!!!!

I was absolutely stoaked to find a lecturer on this subject, and then sorely disappointed it was apparently recorded in the middle of a busy street. Thanks for the upload. Just a shame about the audio.

There's a clip with the Big Bopper on American Bandstand with Dick Clark there's a clip with Ritchie Valens on American Bandstand but you can't seem to find it and there's plenty of Buddy Holly Clips around still
