Good lens but the 24-105mm is the lens that needs the next upgrade. Wish they would go from a f4 to an f3.5 and keep the same size.
@trekkeruss2 күн бұрын
I don’t know what restraints there are in lens design, but I would be fine with it staying F4 but going wider and/or longer. Like say a 20-120mm.

The specification is of a G master. No way this is possible for a G lens. 20mm 1.4 is really difficult to make and is almost guaranteed to be larger and heavier than the 1.8 and would be even more out of place on your dinky Sony body. The 1.8 is a brilliant lens because it is very high quality and AFFORDABLE. For your G master 20mm 1.4 you are looking at at least $2500. I could not see any way I could justify it for my use.
@aboynamedjamil4 күн бұрын
I disagree. Sigma made a 20mm 1.4 that was not much bigger and cost less money. I believe Sony engineers can pull it off. Also, if you had watched the entire video, you'd have heard me conceed that maybe it does become a G Master. I would LOVE to see the 20 get the G Master treatment.
@Nphiltrator2 күн бұрын
@@aboynamedjamil Great video bro! I was just about to ask did you check out the Sigma 20mm 1.4. It is fantastic for me, but I think Sony could pull it off too.
@mrmonday422 күн бұрын
@@aboynamedjamil The f1.4 Sigma is almost twice the weight of the f1.8 Sony. Sony tends to make lenses that appeal to the masses, Sigma makes more of the niche lenses. The 20mm Sigma is primarily marketed toward astrophotographers for example.

Great video as always! I'm keeping a 20mm in my wish list at the moment. When the budget allows, I'll grab this lens and it's good to know about the breathing issue on the a7c since that's my camera for now. Looking forward to seeing a behind-the-scenes!! 🙂

I am a petit woman with very little physical strength and I am afraid of the weight of the A7IV. So, I wanted to know if there was some reason to choose the A7IV over the A7C that would justify choosing the A7IV. I think the A7C would be easier for me to handle...a pity because the A7IV looks amazing. I wish I was physically stronger.
@aboynamedjamil23 күн бұрын
Get the A7C Mark II. You get all of things you get in the A7IV in the body of the A7C. The only drawback (for me) is the single card slot. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching. ✌🏾

My problen is HOW TO KEEP THE BACKGROUND IN FOCUS while I'm moving about. I don't have to stay in focus-I'm making painting demos, and I need the focus to stay on the painting, NOT on my hand. Can you help? I have a Sony ZV1.
@aboynamedjamilАй бұрын
Hey. A couple ideas come to mind: 1. Turn off the eye autofocus 2. The camera might be set to prioritize face. Switch that off also. 3. Lastly, use the touch feature to focus on the background. Once the background is in focus, switch the camera to manual focus. The camera won't change focus at all then. Hope this helps.

I sort of agree with you on the A7C vs A7Cii statement; however, comparing the prices at retail is a $600 difference. This might be the factor that pushes a buyer over the budget, get the A7C. It's still a very compatible camera today (after all it's a compact "C" version of the A7iii). However, if you do have the extra funds (or can wait till you do) the A7Cii is far superior in every way. I'd argue that it's worth the difference (even used its about the same $ difference) - from sensor (mp), colors, af, extended iso, ibis, DR, 10 bit 422, new menu, bigger grip/ergo (front dial), higher rear screen resolution, photo/video switch, 7k downsampled 4k60 and some things I don't really use like - auto-framing, focus bracket, focus breathing comp.
@aboynamedjamilАй бұрын
No one is comparing the prices at retail because, as I said in the video, you can get it "like new" for almost $700 cheaper. And for the vast majority of people thinking about buying this camera (THAT I HAVE SPPKEN TO), they just want a camera that they can either learn on or upgrade from their phones to make content on. So all the specs that you listed mean nothing to the people I made this video for.

Bro... dig you chats. No disrespect here, but I just noticed something about your vids. Your background is fairly dark (add to this you wear a cap that shadows your eyes) so you don't show well on the computer. You may want to change your lighting setup. I know it's your vibe. Do what you do and keep up the good content.
