@@stevehillsden5907 thanks for checking out the video Steve! These are dAddarrio EJ32 28-42 folk nylon with ball ends. I've been using silk and steel for a while now, arthritis. Yes, they do make a difference in the ability to fret notes and chords. FYI, I'm using GHS 011 - 048. Haven't tried the D'Addario's yet but, I'm sure the cost is comparable. Concerning tone and longevity not sure there would be a difference.
@Guitarin90seconds9 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for checking out the video and passing on your experience! I am totally sold on the playability of silk and steel strings and in an electro-acoustic any sound loss can be managed leaving only the question of longevity! Thanks for passing your experience that they do last! 🙏🙏🦋

@Guitarin90seconds15 күн бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video Gino! In this video I am still using the steel strings (9s) and working on getting the guitar to be comfortable to play. I moved to nylon strings a few months later. Still have the nylon strings on the guitar and it plays great! 🙏🙏🦋
15 күн бұрын
@@Guitarin90seconds Yeah. I just watched the nylon string video. Excellent. I want to put electric guitar strings on my Hush I Pro. Do you think it will work well with the number 10?... I think that with the 9 I'll lose some volume on the first string. I'd appreciate your opinion.
@Guitarin90seconds15 күн бұрын
I don’t think you will see any negative effects from using 10s… the nut slots are cut for acoustic strings…and the action is high enough that you should not get fret buzz! I chose 9s for ease of playing and I had extras, but could have just as easily chosen 10s. Let me know how it works for you! 🙏🙏🦋

Hey, Scott - nice insight on the strings. I swapped over to Stringjoys about two years ago, and haven't looked back. My Norman acoustic has seen a few upgrades along the way, too. I got a set of bone bridge pins, and in the last six months I took it in for a set-up and swapped the Tusq nut and saddle for bone ones. The difference has been noticeable, and it's almost like I have a new guitar. Still my workhorse guitar, and a joy to play.
