Oh that's really interesting: this uses edited, reversed and cut up versions of the original Fords Follicles level, where it was significantly more upbeat. You can hear that music in the final game in the hair salon, but it was intended for this level.

With the whole picture of this level, the lighthouse, the dark and sinister aura it has, and the main part - tsunami stuck in time, I think this theme accurately represents that calm before the storm feeling. It's either feeling of the inevitable or the aftermath for those who got killed by the flood. Low-key limbo for those who didn't make it. And it's hypnotising, I'm in love with this level as an art object.

@@thestopmotionkitten9583lmao psychonauts 2 is literally an awesome game. they replaced the other abilities with new ones in order to create new and innovative levels. whilst the shield and confusion grenade ect were cool, we now have stuff like time bubble and mental connection which are more relevant to the new levels and can be used for a high range of stuff like even in combat. i absolutely love both games but i do not think that psychonauts 2 is trash, in fact i think it’s a great expansion from the first game and rhombus of ruin
