Very nice! Did you happen to post a link to how you built or blueprints?

Were you posting vids on a different channel in recent months (2024)? I can't find your recent stuff so I am asking if your vids or new channel was ghosted or taken down by YT. This is September 3rd 2024.

I took down everything that was time or situational specific due to new types of attacks from the beast system. Other than that I've been real busy. We are kind of in wait and see mode for the next couple of months to see how these events unfold. If bad guys win it could be very dangerous for those who have spoken out like I have. Sorry I can't interact with my yt community the way I want atm but who knows in the future?

Without it being submerged, have you had any issues with it when it got wet during rain? I would imagine it's somewhat water resistant being in a car near liquid cooling systems.

Simple system like this would get rained on. No biggie

Wow. 😮 did a price check and I can’t touch an 8ft 2x12 for less than $14.25. The American dream kinda feels like a nightmare these days.

Nice build, Erin (by the way, that is my daughter's name). I am in the process of building my own "Long". I agree with another commenter that putting a galvanized chain on the outside would alleviate the "notch" and fumbling problems with the lid. That's what I am doing. I like the weather strips, also. I am experimenting with using carpeting strips, instead. Hope it works. I am also going to install a towel rack on the opposite side of the entrances to hang the smoker on. Clever idea to let the chickens clean up the beetles. We don't have chicks, but put rock salt on the ground under the hive.

Funny I built that 4 yrs ago and since then I have modified it several times. But the basic structure is the same.

Oh man! A 2"x4"x8' was $7.00 where I am🤦🏻♀️
@zumbafosto5 ай бұрын
Yeah! And the way to do math is a little wonkey too.. 3 boards at $7.50 is $22.50 and the glue at aprox $3 makes $25.50 and the fishing line at $3 makes $28.50, so thats uh $20 right? Good thing the gas to go to the store is free and there is no sales tax and the gas for the generator is free.. By my calc that is aprox $1.25 per frame, adjusted for current lumber costs here is about $2.15 per frame, but still cheaper and you have parts for repairs on hand. Over all really good and informative video. Liked threatening the rooster with "Chicken Soup".

can i ask: what is the dimensions and wattage of those panels youve built your trackers for?
@therealerintscott38035 ай бұрын
Those were considered standard house panels at 39"x 60" and 270 watts

Thank you for sharing this info! I need all the help I can get on the solar system. I’ve always been totally off grid, pioneer style. Your system is the first experience I’ve had. I removed the cupboard doors that were covering up the batteries air circulation. I’ve cleaned everything and checked fluid levels 🤗

5 years ago I started bee keeping. My first LLH was built according to Dr Leo's plans. The second year I reduced the entrances from 3 to 1. I have also put 2" foam insulation in the top. This insulation is in year round for summer cooling and winter heat retention.
@therealerintscott38038 ай бұрын
I have changes my builds also. I too put foam board in the lid, and because I have a mill I cut my boards to be a full 2" thick and 12" wide. Thicker wood means more insulation!

@therealerintscott3803 I've been getting my rough-cut lumber from my Amish neighbor. I also moved the legs from the ends to the sides. Currently I have 6 LLHs in use with lumber for 4 more.

Regarding your power supply. When a motor starts, it can require a lot of current, that your power supply seems unable to supply. My guess is that your power supply is overheating or current limiting itself, shutting itself down, and then starting up again, and causing the motor to stop and start. Try a more powerful power supply. Additionally, to power a motor from a regulated power supply, you need to protect the power supply from back emf generated by the motor commutating. A flyback diode across the motor connections will take care of the back emf. You may need to Google what I mean. Thanks for sharing.

As someone who has been working around HHO for maybe ten years, I'd recommend Potassium Hydroxide (KoH) or Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) Lye, KoH is about 20% stronger than NaOH, don't use any other electrolytes.

I just clicked on your channel to see if you updated your current situation and then scrolled down and accidentally clicked on this video. Wow what’s the odds of that and hearing my name was a surprise. I wish we could have spent more time together. It felt awkward not having a break in period so to say. I’m super glad nonetheless that I got to meet y’all in person and I think of you every time I ride my mower over the rut in my backyard 😂😂😂. Can’t believe I haven’t dumped a 5 gallon bucket of dirt in that rut. I think I like it there and it’s a memory kept alive. God bless y’all. ❤

Nice greenhouse. You can also use pvc for the side. Let’s say half inch. Run the length of your greenhouse on the bottom and clamp and screw for Roll up sides. You could clamp your corners and middles up to side center of the green house in the mornings to help keep the temp down too. Wrapping to the bottom is good for humidity not convenient for controlling the temp.

Ok I like your simplicity. I am an old timer doing bees for many years now.I give you a small tip.Thetop of the frames on the ends.you worried about the bees glueing it down. I use a little brush and apply a little vegetable oil in places where I do not want the bees to propilize.It works great for me. The leg design is very good,especially the two drilled holes for the rods to hold frames when you work your hive. Also you seen the importance of air circulation. I live where it gets well below zero and the cold does not hurt my bees, closed up to tight where water builds up and causes bad problems in a hive. Hives in your chicken yard is great idea especially if you have a few guinnees .The thrive on ticks and beetles.

i think the reason your power supply is pulsing is its probably a kids toy battery charger for 24 volt power wheels battery.the ride on power wheels.
